bermuda, will you be laughing at the "haters" when 2021 is another disappointing season/early round playoff loss? As Sask said, there was no reason to extend Tomlin, and every reason to wait. They could have signed him to a new contract after this season. Absolutely no one would have been beating his door down to make him an offer. I can't believe that this wasn't a "prove it" year for him. It should have been. Apparently, he doesn't need to prove anything else to the FO, or to you, both of whom seem fine with early exits, losing to inferior opponents(or squeaking out wins that should be had handily), and lack of accountability. Some of us are tired of simply being slightly above average in general. I am excited to see what Canada will bring to the offense. Hell, it can't get much worse. When it improves, will Tomlin get the credit, after failing to fire our previous useless OC, whom he put in that position? Of course he will. It will be added to the list of his "accomplishments." Too bad that list is balanced out by the list of his failures, which only some of us seem to be willing to acknowledge.
Every other team in the league, especially in the AFC North, and their fans are happy to know that the Steelers will not be improving at the position of HC for the next four years.
