This loss is on TOMLIN

Agenda must me pushed.......

Retort. Remove 9 dropped passes, TJ falls on the football. Your agenda is moot again.

And if a frog had wings he wouldn’t land on his rear end while hopping. If the Steelers had a better head coach yesterday they win the game.

Tomlin’s decisions on 4th down cost us big time and his use of time outs sucks. Ben bails him out. Not this time.

Doesn't this team have a history of playing down to the competition and often losing?

So look on the bright side, we play Buffalo!!

Maybe now we'll be able to catch and run the ball!!

Well, if you are so anecdotal, why do you freeload this board so much? No wages left over after spending it on taxi cabs and Long Island iced teas?

We all know you had this post on queue since week one. The attention *** that you are.

A lot of liquored up folks venting their frustrations over an 11-1 team. Classic Yinzers man. lol

I mean what do you want people to talk about after a loss? This team deserves some criticism and that's what everyone is doing on here and rightfully so.

It's funny to me, man. After the Raven's game you had people "talking" about how the team has issues. Some take the roll of "apologist" and tell everyone to chill...I mean we're winning, right? But after a loss? The teeth are out with excuses and blame pointing to Tomlin, the Commish, to Fichtner, and even Ben. I woke up this morning to check the score and headed over here chuckling, knowing damn well it was going to be dumpster fire. lol. you guys did not disappoint

The Steelers have had the same issue year after year since the likes of Jerome, Hines, and Joey left...A lack of leadership and team identity. This team is extremely talented on both sides of the ball and the reason that they're 11-1. But who is the guy? Who are they? What do they represent? Even us fans are trying to figure it out.

Tomlin made decisions to take points off the board. Those points did cost us the game. So yes, this is technically correct although the players failed to execute. There is no excusing the two **** play calls with a pass to Hawkins and 26.

Tomlin doesn't call the offensive plays, Tomlin doesn't call the defense plays, Tomlin doesn't have anything to do with Special Teams.

Tomlin is a fantastic coach!!

Always go for it on 4th and short. You can't pick up a yard, that's on your offense.

The first stop at the goal line did not hurt us at all. It was a punt, but Redskins on a 99 yard field. They punted and we had field position and scored on the ensuing drive. You have to place these moments in context.

The other choice of not kicking a long FG, I'm sure the exact same people pissing and moaning about not picking up a 4th and 1, would be pissing and moaning over our backup kicker missing that kick. No win scenario with you guys who just want to push an agenda instead of understanding game mechanics.

What part of understanding game mechanics involves throwing the ball to Hawkins or McFarland on critical 4th and 1 situations. Maybe people being critical aren't the ones that don't understand game mechanics but instead the Brainiac's that think those were good decisions instead. I would rather have our backup kicker try a 45 yard FG then have a critical throw go to a guy that has barely played this season and has a grand total of 5 receptions (all on screen passes).

No agenda. They took points off the board in those situations. Poor play calling and execution by the offense couldn't cover up worse decisions by the coach. Take the points.

Pass to Hawkins was 3rd down.

I'd give that ball to McFarland 10 out of 10 times, with no one guarding him at the LOS, and a LB franticly trying to run over and was in a terrible trail position. Just a bad adjustment to the ball by McFarland.

zero agenda, Washington obviously made adjustment at halftime, killed us with the RB out of the backfield and the Dline quit trying to get to the Ben, they just basically counted to 2 and got their hands up. There was no adjustments from our coaches at all, tell the Oline to punch or slap their hands then put your helmet in the gut or thighs. Stop trying to cover 41 with a damn LB, they weren't running the ball, their top RB was out, no reason to have both ILB's in the game.

The calls to throw the ball to McFarland and Hawkins were just dumb. If you're going to call that pass to a RB, use Samuels. He out thought himself.

How many times did Mckissic catch a wide open pass for 8-10 yards? Absolutely no adjustment til it was too late.

That's coaching?!?!
It's not our backup defensive signal caller going out with injury and leaving it to Vince William IN GAME to assume duties?

I get it. We're ALL disappointed the perfect season ended to a subpar team.
But pointing to one or two things is pointless.
THE ENTIRE TEAM the last weeks has been suspect, out of sync, and exposed.
Coaching, playing, ALL of it.
Did three games in 12 days have to do with it? Maybe.
Realistically, our O-Line is a band-aid right now.
Our receivers are dropping balls.
And our stout Defense has endured far too many injuries.

At this point, we just need to get as healthy as possible on defense, get the O-Line on Roids, and force the receivers to mandatory jugs machines for hours each day.
I don't think we can put this on the coaches. Sorry, I know that's not popular around here.
Coaches ( Tomlin ) had faith enough in the players to deliver on 4th down deep in Washington territory, to catch balls, to block, to whatever.
I'm in no way absolving the coaches, again TOTAL TEAM FAILURE, but the players were playing uninspired and emotionless.

Which tells me moving forward not to throw it to him on a critical down. Especially one that isn't close range....

Ben constantly puts the ball where Claypool can catch it. He either makes the catch, drops the catch, or has a guy tackle him as he trying to catch. Our other deep threat doesn't see the field much anymore, and it's sad. Because every time they've called his number, he's stepped up. Washington again showed why he needs more snaps. And I absolutely have no issues taking either Claypool or Johnson off the field to give Washington more.

Johnson made a great play on 3rd and 12, a 17 yard gain. The very next pay he drops an easy pass.

Ebron has big play written all over him, but he drops too many. Vance has his share of big plays with us, not sure why he's not getting more chances.

They aren't completing them, and it is hurting the offense. They have to start completing them.

I continue to be fascinated by the fact that people refuse to acknowledge that this offense looks the way it does because the QB wants it this way. Since that is so, he almost has to be damn near perfect. If he isn't, it's gonna be a struggle.

Yeah the coaching issues on this team are in playcalling gameplanning, and scheme... some lack of focus things... strategy hasn’t been the problem... sure, like everything, all of these tie back ultimately to the head coach, but they are directly on the coordinators and position coaches....

Tomlin has adjusted a **** ton of his flaws from earlier in his career... his last remaining flaw is loyalty to his friends at coordinator positions...

#7 has had just a little bit to do with his success I’d say. If cowher would have kept coaching with Ben, I bet he would have even better record and more SBs.

Cowher would have gotten a lot more out of the defense without needing 1st round talent at every position.

FOURTEEN ******* YEARS LATER, and there are still asshats like you claiming Cowher wouldn't do this, wouldn't do that...

Ok let's play your stupid little game. Cowher and Co wouldn't have had the success at WR we've had under Tomlin (Santonio Holmes, Willie Reid, Fred Gibson, Randle El, Lee Mays, Plaxico Burress, Danny Farmer, Troy Edwards). There's no telling who Ben would be throwing to.

I can see it now "but Cowher drafted defense better, didn't need first rounders everywhere" that's because Cowher missed on his fair share of defensive picks too. Alonzo Jackson anyone? Anthony Smith? Or how about Ricardo Colcoigh?

But you guys want to relive glory days like it was all gum drops and candy canes.

Ben would be just fine throwing to that list of WRs you listed. I mean he won two SBs with guys on that list lol.. great point.

Anyway, it’s been 14 years and you’re still gladly taking Tomlin’s down your throat. Enjoy!

And there for a good bit the Steelers were one of the few teams running that style of defense, so you could find a 3rd round DE and turn him into a OLB, like Gildon and Porter. Those guys aren't making to the 3rd round anymore.

Also, it only took Tomlin 10 years to recover from losing Cowhers guys and get a decent defense playing.. only took nothing but 1st rounders through out.

Anyway, it’s been 14 years and you’re still gladly taking Tomlin’s dick down your throat. Enjoy!

Nah, I don't hate Tomlin. I just don't think he's a great coach like some want to think he is. He's very, very average. Sorry that may hurt some feelings.
