He(Matthews) might be asking for too much moohlah, which is why he is sitting on the couch at home.
That maybe, but he should ask himself how much he's making sitting on that couch. Tick tock, tick tock.

I'm still on Harrison's side with the way things were handled. I'd welcome him back and see what he can do in a rotational role.
- He only decided to stay in Pittsburgh in 2017 because he was promised a starting role. He was nearing the end of his career and wanted to start rather than waste the year on the bench. Any true competitor would have wanted the same.
- Season started and they played him 4% of the snaps. After the first game where he got 3 snaps he asked to be released and every week thereafter his agent made calls to ask for his release.
- When he actually got to play against the Chiefs he showed he still had it with a game-sealing sack, a few hits, and a TFL.
- Right after he wins the game for us against KC they go back to benching him.
- After being promised a starting role and instead riding the bench, he repeatedly asked to be allowed to go somewhere so he could play. The team refused, so he acted out to try and force their hand.
- He's finally let go and gets picked up by NE where he has a shot to contribute. He immediately has a huge 2 sack game.
- He gets to play 91% of the snaps in the Super Bowl and has 2 of the team's 14 QB Hits (the team would finish with only 1 sack).
- Harrison retires and continues to rep Black and Gold despite the way things ended.
Y'all would have done the same if you were in his shoes. You want to whine and expect subservience and kowtowing loyalty to the organization that scapegoated Dick-*******-LeBeau and forced Troy-goddamned-Polamalu into retirement. Why does the organization get the benefit of the doubt in unfeeling, self-serving business decisions (and outright lies, like convincing him to come back so he could start), but one of the greatest players to suit up for us gets **** on for looking out for himself? It's honestly baffling how dick-sucky and obtuse some of you get when it comes to the organization making mistakes. Yes, the Steelers are one of the absolute best franchises in sports, but that does not make them infallible. They **** on Dick and Troy and they were too nice to put up a fight. James stuck up for himself and he's the ******* devil incarnate.
Edit: Had multiple tabs open and deleted this post because I thought for a second I put it in the wrong thread. But it was in the right thread to begin with.
I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with most of this post. When Harrison was promised play time, that was BEFORE they drafted Watt. Watt then proceeded to beat him out.
I have no doubt in my mind they would have used Harrison more in the playoffs, they weren't just keeping him on the bench out of spite.
They didn't **** on Troy, they have him two options, retire or get cut. Everyone could see he was no longer Troy, he was barely an average safety his last year. He was injured often, slowed down, was a liability. Colbert and Tomlin's job is to field the best team possible. Troy, for as great as he once was, and that was GREAT, wasn't the best player, and cost too much to be a bench player. THAT is the nature of this business.
Harrison acted like a toddler, much like a certain 84 that people happily disown

**** Harrison. What are we bringing him back for? To sleep through his virtual meetings??

& GOLD

Please......... who hasn't slept or nodded off during a meeting........
And this coming from a guy who admittedly drinks on the job........ DRUNK COPE...........lol
As long as he has one more 100 yard Superbowl sprint left in him...... sign him up.......... Tomlin needs to swallow his pride and welcome the prodigal son of a ***** home..... (sarcasm)
Even Hoot .......who apparently lives under a rock ....or so I have heard ....... would surely welcome DEEBO ...BACK IN BLACK ..& GOLD
Tom Brady and the Ole Boys Club approve this signing![]()
Harrison is one of my all time favorite players, but there is no way I want him back in this locker room. He was openly disrespectful to our coaching staff, for whatever self perceived slight they may have caused him. His needs are not above the teams' needs. That is why we dumped Bell and AB for nothing, and that's why we dumped Harrison during the season. I do not want him around this young group of overachievers, just to sow seeds of division because he isn't getting the playing time he wants. That ship has sailed.
This times 100. Tomlin and company learned some very valuable lessons in that era about keeping malcontents on your team regardless of their talent level. Malcontents are a corrosive acid that spreads through the locker room and are a horrible influence on all the younger players.
Anyone else find it curious that they haven't made any known moves yet?
Not sure if Deebo is worth a look or not, but the link that started all this is him just trolling, IMO.
