They are in a tailspin, and Jackson has thrown coaches and players under the bus. Let RG3 play! Let their WR's catch a few passes, creating an even greater divide between their loquacious QB and the team.
My feeling is play the game Monday night with whatever they can put on the field once transmission is under control. Then move their Thursday night game against the Cowboys to Sunday. The Steelers would play the Redskins on a shorter week, but that is a fairly meaningless game and it isn't like the Redskins are the '86 Bears. Week 18 is a bad idea and worst case scenario for the Steelers.

I get what you are saying but in the grand scheme of things I'd rather have Lamar perform marginally well so as the Rats would bite and give him a BIG contract to tie him up for years to come......

Not bye weeks since we had to practice all week.
The only option at this point should be, Ravens field a team Sunday or forfeit!
No nonsense about precautions for fear of other players potentially at risk to still test positive... they closed their facilities what? Tuesday? Provisions were already made in good faith to get the Ravens most complete squad on the field by moving the game from Thanksgiving night to Sunday.
The NFL on their own sight has acknowledged that necessary protocols were not appropriately followed by the Ravens staff and organization! They confirmed that 1) a trainer did not appropriately report COVID symptoms in a timely manner (that's on the trainer and he deservedly has been disciplined), but 2) the trainer was also disciplined for not following protocols regarding wearing a mask at times, according to guidelines, which certainly would require the head coach or management to have immediately addressed the violation upon FIRST observation. It does not sound like that was done, rather levying discipline because the combination of both, not reporting symptoms AND exposing others by repeated violations of mask policy.
If anything meets the standard to require a team to play or forfeit, all the elements are present in this scenario!!!
A forfeit would give a degree of relief for the rescheduling of the Steeler's original bye week, to significantly earlier in the season, also due to their upcoming opponent's negligence with COVID protocol.

Yeah it will be patently unfair for the league to change the first bye week out so late during the titans week that the team had already practiced all week, do the same with this extended break week, then strip any chance at the Playoff bye away too. And the worse part of all of this is the Steelers haven’t really had outbreaks of their own, sobit gives tge league no wiggle room for If and when they do... especially if it is through no fault of their own
NFL in season practices are not exactly taxing. The players need mental time off no question, but as far as sharpness long periods of practicing without playing are good. And the team is free to set its practice schedule as it sees fit. Tomlin can give them a day off if he chooses.

Time off is better than the easiest day at work 100 percent of the time.
Practices are easy. The games are what takes it out of them.
keep the game for sunday no week 18, lets just get the t reg season done with so we can concentrate on ring 7.
