Lamar Jackson Positive for COVID

Well I vote we cancel the game for as long as it takes until their whole team is in top physical condition.

If they really create week 18 now thatcis going to ensure one of two things:
A. We go undefeated and don’t get a bye then lose to the 8 seed that should never have been in the playoffs in the first place...
or
B. After bending over backwards not to forfeit games that were 1000% our opponents fault, we will have an outbreak and the league will instantly forfeit our next game....

There is no chance that the Steelers are playing on Sunday. Goodell hates the Steelers and will postpone the game now that Lamar is out. Guaranteed.

With so many Ravens testing positive for COVID, it might be in the best interest of the Steelers to have the game cancelled and played at a later date. I'd hate to play the game Sunday and then a handful of Steelers test positive for COVID. If the NFL doesn't forfeit the game to the Steelers (which isn't happening) then play the game in week 18 if there are any playoff ramifications, if not, don't play it. The Steelers may lose a bye out of it but at this point I'd rather the Steelers be healthy and moving forward, than risk getting COVID.

I respect your concern for the health of our players and families and I agree that Roger won't force the Ravens to forfeit. If they shove the Steelers (who will probably have the 1st or 2nd best record) to play a game that is brutal with the Ravens at the end of the year while everyone else is resting, I think or hope even Roger understands that there would be a backlash not only from the Rooneys but the media as well. You can't rest 22 Steeler starters and the special team players even if the game means nothing.

The favoritism toward the Ravens and screwing us would be obvious even to the national media.

The only plan if covid issues interfer with the regular season that I've heard is extend to 18 weeks and give every team an extra week bye. The only way I see that happening this late in the season is cancel Sunday's game. Cancel every NFL game next week except reschedule the Steeler Raven game for next Thursday. Resume the schedule the following week. Finish week 18 with everyone playing.

I'm not promoting this, I'm just trying to come up with a proposition if they postpone this game that doesn't totally screw us while Roger is giving the Ravens a massage.

This obviously helps the Ravens and no one will be shocked right, adds a wildcard, no forfeit and so on. The NFL networks still have all their games, just a week off in this crazy year.

One additional thought, Roger claims that the NFL week off is a precautionary measure for all NFL players to quarantine for a week, all facilities thoroughly cleaned etc. so the NFL can go into the home stretch covid clean. Further outbreaks will result in punitive measures. I think Hoot mentioned in another post that Roger mentioned something similar before.
 
If Ben was positive Saturday he would not have been able to play. Throw in all the infractions of Ravens as well their strength coach who knew he was positive and said nothing why should the Steller's be the team really penalized if game cancelled.
 
force them to play with rg let all that talk how they beat us last year end we had no ben and were missing several key guys.
 
They should have built in an extra week or 2 from the start. I am pretty shocked the season made it as far as it has so far. If the Ravens have players, they should play. If not forfeit or add in a bye at the end of the year
 
One thing about this now is we actually would have 2 bye weeks if we played them in week 18. We had one from the **** and now could have one this weekend. So, I guess it isn't that bad. With that said, I still make them play with what they have or forfeit since they went against protocol in a serious way.
