College Football Bowl Thread

Saban rubbing **** in harbaugh's face. I'd call that last TD low class if it was against any other coach. Jim Harbaugh 0-4 in Bowls at Michigan.

I didn't watch much of that game. I was watching the Minnesota game which was the better game. Great back and forth but then Minnesota overpowered them for the win.

If Tua decides to stay, you have to figure at least 1 of Bama's other QBs are entering the transfer portal. Tua should go to the NFL. He will likely still be a 1st rounder on his potential alone. It could actually end up being better to be drafted a little later for a QB. It means you likely go to a better team and if you slide to round 2 it also means no 5th year option in the contract..

I would rather be drafted in round 2 than in the late 1st.

Makes no sense to me. I'd rather be drafted late 1st because you are going to a better team than if you are drafted early 2nd.

getting to be a free agent after year 4 instead of year 5 is a big deal. It's even a bigger deal for non-QBs.

I was busy making pork, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, what did Saban do?

with about 30 seconds left and Michigan out of time outs, Bama ran a play and scored a TD instead of taking a knee. Minnesota was in the exact same situation and took a knee vs Auburn.

Harbaugh is NOT respected among coaches.

Lining up like you are going to kneel to end the game, and then run the ball, is low class no matter who your playing

Who signed off on those Oregon uniforms? It's like burnt pea soup.

Excuses for what? They beat Michigan by 19 points. Bama wasn't a very good team this year. No excuses for anything.

Everyone was saying was as me was gonna be over at halftime not sighting the deficiencies Bama had BEFORE the game but when we hang with them for over three quarters then the excuses come
I couldn’t care less what Harbaughs record is in big games we’ve always r won historically 9 -10 games a year except before he got there they were ****!
So everyone needs to worry about their teams and I’ll worry about Michigan!
Thanks for all your support! Lol

The top QB recruit just de-committed from Oklahoma. Speculation it means Lincoln Riley to Dallas

Ooohhh............Now that is intresting. I heard Urban say he would toss his hat into the ring for the Dallas job. Riley would be a huge upgrade over Garrett. My 11 year old grand nephew would be a significant upgrade over Garrett.

Rose Bowl is tough
I like most of Big 10 except OSU and State Penn and Wisconsin has a local Long Island kid at QB but I’m a big Herbert fan, I think he’s gonna have the best initial success in the NFL

Me thinks Tua will stay unless his return timeline is better than estimated. Use next year to prove all the doubters wrong.

Is he staying or declaring for the NFL. He is going to be a beast of a TE.

Freiermuth announced he's staying. He should have a big year since PSU will be thin at WR. On paper, they are great at WR because they recruited well but none of those young guys have stepped up yet. Hopefully the new OC can get them going.

But if the only difference will be that next year he'd go in the top 10 and this year he'd go in the 20-30 range, I'm not sure that's worth returning. He'd be better off rehabbing and learning an NFL offense and maybe start the last few games.

With the new rookie salary caps it's not like it was years ago where a QB going top 10 would be one of the highest paid QBs in the game.

Miami has multiple picks, they may still take him. It would be a perfect situation to sit behind Fitzpatrick for a year, then take over. Miami hired Chan Gailey as OC and he's good at developing QBs. Probably why they hired him.

That's probably one of the most convoluted posts I've seen on here in awhile. You were talking specifically to me. I said before the game that Bama would probably lose. I didn't say jack about Michigan, Harbaugh or his records. So I have no idea WTF you are talking about.

They got hammered by a Bama team that hadn't beaten a good team all year.

My apologies for quoting you then
I’m addressing everyone else

Hammered them? I don’t think so

The NFL should attach option years to signing bonus’, not draft round. A team could include an option year in any contract provided the signing bonus was high enough. Conversely, a first round contract wouldn’t necessarily include an option year if the signing bonus wasn’t high enough.

If it's the difference of playing for the bungles or the Steelers which contract do you want then?

Taylor is a fantastic runner, but he sure seems to fumble a lot.

Disagree - we play for 60 minutes. Bama stopped 'easing teams up' two years ago...today was no different.

Oh poppycock. You are up 12 with roughly 30 seconds to go and you have the ball. Running a play in that situation is pretty ******.

I mean you can’t win more than once. No good reason to do that unless you are trying to embarrass your opponent.
