Steelers VS the rats game thread part deux- hashtag season finale or is it ?

Realistically the season was over at halftime of Week 2.
Yes.

The entire season is just about getting a SB win. The rest is bs.
We lost huge talent in offseasons, and needed to rely on HoF QB to cover, and for D to improve. D did improve, but we lost Ben and our backups underwhelmed. The end.

Any real positives need to go towards clear SB run next season.

******* ***** *** Tennessee has lost 2 in a row *******. They ain’t on no roll

**** are gonna sag today all the way to the floor and lay an egg

Ol girls mom which I consider my mom is in the hospital for toxic colitis and concern for infection. Her WBCs are high and she had/has some bleeding. She just finished her last chemo (hopefully) radiation finished as well for lung cancer. Chemo has some powerful side effects. We are rotating 4 of us in shifts to the hospital so today I get the earlier shift that will have me home before the game starts. Good time to post this as everyone is asleep, so I don't have to be just girlish on the inside I can throw some stress tears and wipe them clean before anyone wakes up. Most of her hair has fallen out and with the trip to the hospital she said she felt defeated. We don't know the outcome but it got to me her frame of mind. Of course we all reassured her that it was just a temporary setback. She has been the mother that a few weren't. (was adopted from Germany)

Anyways,

hopefully today's outcome is a positive one. It also will be worth keeping an eye on Houston if they pull any starters. Hopefully they just focus in on winning.

You want to win in life. You want to beat your fight. Games... cancer, whatever the opponent is.

It is why we play the game, it is the point. We don't play to lose that is a losers mentality. Our team didn't win six SBs with a losers mentality.

All those families that relocated from Pittsburgh didn't watch the Steelers because they had a losers mentality. They watched because the Steelers brought them hope. A ray of sunshine in hard times.

So Steelers if it is the last game of the year, or maybe it isn't the finale.

Either way......

just win.

Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. Keep the faith and be the rock for your family. Good things are still ahead. I lost my Mom to cancer 30 years ago but we have come a long way with treatments. She still influences me to this very day.

Participation trophies mean very little to me. If we don’t win the SB the season is wasted.

Other teams have suffered QB losses and still won the SB.

Those teams didn’t have Tomlin as a coach either

Making the playoffs with this lineup would be more than a participation trophy. We are tied for the most SBs with 6 out of how many? I can find enjoyment without winning it. Obviously it is special when we do but would it really mean as much if we did it every year? The fact it is so hard is what makes it so special.

If John Harbaugh can put together a bunch of misfits to beat a Ben Roethlisberger lead team that needed to win to make the playoffs. A loss here should be an indictment on Tomlin or Colbert. Maybe both..

Rats are gonna finish with 60 rushes for 300 yards.

Either Dupree isn't seeing the handoffs or he was told to spy the QB. My bet is the latter...defense plan seems to be to let bud watch the QB runs.

You see how they March downfield with backups against a supposedly elite defense. Now watch our offense when they come out....lol...
