Steelers VS the rats game thread part deux- hashtag season finale or is it ?

Do you think that anyone will care that you FINALLY got on that train??? Five years too late?? LOL Please.

I don’t care if anyone cares. Hell in all honesty it is the fact that people rant about him so much when they know he isn’t going anywhere that makes me defend him to a degree. I don’t disagree with most of it really I just get so sick hearing about it. It is useless.

Maybe we can trade him to Cleveland now.

Dobbs is not a better plan B, C, D, or E. Pittsburgh sports fans have this thing with over valuing mediocre talent. Nate McClouth is a perfect example. The fanboy nonsense over Duck is just the latest. And since that predictably failed, we are gonna go back to "Oh lawd, if only we had kept Josh Dobbs." Really?

I saw all I needed of Dobbs in Oakland last year.

Well that wraps up the 2019 season; Mike Tomlin can spend the offseason thanking the players and staff for keeping his “never had a losing season” reputation intact.
Happy happy joy joy.

Didn’t say that. Just said we all thought we were ok when we made all those decisions rather than looking at a veteran. No I am definitely not saying we should have kept Dobbs. God no.

I don’t disagree Sarge, but considering the choices out there and looking to the future after Ben I think they gambled in trying to develop guys. We all were happy when the kept Mason and Hodges over Dobbs. I did not see any complaining by any of us then. Hindsight is 20 20. After the season started their were not many options.

There was choices and all of them were better than sitting on their hands doing nothing.

But truthfully, how long did it take to figure out that Rudolph and Hodges weren't going to get it done when it counted? They went looking when Rudolph got his head caved in and came up with.....Paxton Lynch. That's as much as anyone needs to know.

TO masons defense he had moments when he showed something. He was brought back way to soon after a horrific concussion and we should have at least tried Lynch. He looked bad in Denver but he has more tools than Hodges despite wanting to root for Hodges. Other than that I am not really sure what the other options were. I am just glad they did not bring in Keaperdick.

Some on Baltimore staff thought the Steelers were starting to make some questionable hits....the pass near the end was intended to stop stacking against the run.

They were concerned about the steelers stacking against the run with so little time left? Bullshit. It was a clear **** you to Pittsburgh. Just own it.

Perhaps....Watt seemed pretty PO'd for whatever reason though.

I feel guilty but I'm honestly relieved they lost today and get to draft a spot higher and don't half to see them get humiliated in New England next week, that's pretty a sad commentary on this team

They have no first so you better not be expecting too much in the draft.

So Tomlin lovers, how you feeling tonight, another losing season...yes 8-8 is a losing season you sheep fans
I just don't understand why the coach of the year did not have his team prepared for the last three weeks??
Let's hear it "Contributors" I guess polish off the "We Played Hard a little Trophy"
Oh that's right, he won a SB 10 years ago, give him one more year of losing and then maybe it will be his last

Don't worry, Colbert will draft a impact player in the second round....oh wait, how many times did he do that? Hmmmm

Marvel Smith
Kendrell Bell
Antwaan Randle El
Bryant McFadden
LaMarr Woodley
Jason Worilds (adequate, not impact)
Marcus Gilbert
Le'Veon Bell
Stephon Tuitt
JuJu Smith-Schuster
James Washington (showing signs)

Not bad for 17 attempts.

After watching a replay you realize the Steelers in the last five games looked like a team playing preseason and Baltimore JV'S made way more plays than the Steelers. We all love this team but something needs to be done, yes we lost a HOF QB but the mentality was just not showing for winning football. Will be a long off season as we look at all the ups and downs, who should stay and who should go. All have a Happy New Year.

Yup, I know, all the more reason to draft higher in the 2nd round, if they think Ben will be back for week 1, maybe they get ultra aggressive for next year and trade their round 1 2021 pick for something. We all see what life after Ben will be, maybe go all in for 2 more years of Ben...

Sad thing is...they looked the same way in week 1
But Tomlin prepares and motivates the team to win ??

4 for 17...pretty good, just like 8-8 and no playoffs

Bad coaching decisions do not get absolved due to injuries. These are mutually exclusive items.

Imho, injuries are the only valid excuse for ****** team play.

"Next man up" is nice but it doesn't work when "next man up" turns into "half a squad down".

Tomlin has problems....mostly that he hires friends. Hopefully, Rooney steps in again this year and changes are made.
