Steelers vs jets game thread: Playoffs start now

Sadly Tomlin was guaranteed a pass this year, now he will be back next year, with the exact same OC, with the same results.

The Rooney rule got him a chance, it shouldn’t get him tenure.

So exactly how many wins did folks think this team was going to get when Ben went down? Gloat all you want, but Tomlin far exceeded any expectations given the cards he was dealt.

Great to see WARD over on the Jets sideline. Now tell me there's no problem in Pittsburgh. Tomlin turns his back on ward, ward goes to NY and kills Tomlins last year. Anyone remember Herm Edwards. That wasn't on JuJu. Dude could barely get a fingertip on the ball. It was well behind him. Washington had the legit chance of the two to come down with a catch. He actually had the ball in both hands.

Anyway, season is 90% chance of being over now. I can''t see the **** losing to the Texans backups.

Duck definitely isn't our future QB unless he can somehow strengthen his arm. He can barely make throws to the outside. Rudolph looked much better and, dare I say, good, when he was in the game today. If he can go next week, he easily gets the start. IR Conner and even JuJu. You could tell JuJu was lucky to be 75%. No need to risk his knee to a game next week.

Its true. We had no business winning some of the games we did.
 
The reality is the team should have brought in a vet and didn't. It went with two unproven QBs and it bit them in the ***. Off-season decisions are every bit of important as in season decisions. How we applaud them when they bring a talent like Fitz they deserve ridicule when they don't make the right decisions. Especially one as critical as the QB position...

I'm not sure what the bar is for an NFL worthy offense. But we have no running game and no passing game. Is there another phase I don't know about.

That was awful. A team that was still in the hunt comes into this game still playing the same game plan as five games ago. Lets throw out coach of year , this coaching staff need a big over haul. You have receivers that cannot get open, you do not see them come back to the QB when he is in trouble. A line that did not block well. Lets not blame the Duck or Mason when the head coach allows the same run run and then here comes the rush. Today was like seeing preseason . The Duck was trying to male a play at end with all Jets around him
 
Glad I didn't waste most of the afternoon watching the **** show. Christmas shopping was a hell of a lot more productive.

I gave up waiting for this offense to get going a few weeks back. There is absolutely NO way this team would come close to winning a game even if they did make the playoffs...

I guess it will save us all the disappointment.
 
Tomlin got his excuse for the season but then he had the team WAY over perform. NO ******* WAY, this team should be 8-8 this year. Yet, they had a chance to get to 11 wins. Sure, the last two losses suck but no one on here thought we would get more than 5 or 6 wins when we were sitting at 0-3 or 1-4. The only bad thing about doing as well as we did again is where our draft pick will be. We got a steal in Minkah though but will only have a mid/late 2nd rounder and maybe a late 3rd round pick worth anything.
 
Rudolph rebounded nicely. Sitting on the bench allowed him to get the Fichtner out of his system. Unfortunately for Duck he was slowly becoming infected by the Ficthner, and started playing like Rudolph was before he was benched, hesitant, unsure, constantly in bad 2nd and 3rd and long situations.

Fichtneritis is a mutherfucker.
