December 22nd the Bungles play the Dolphins. What happens if both are still winless and tie? Coin toss for the first draft pick? You KNOW by then neither team will want to win.
Inquiring minds want to know.

Same way they figure out standings for playoff positions. They look at things like shared opponents, conf. records, etc. Eventually it does fall to a coin flip but that is pretty far down the list.

Strength of schedule would be the first tiebreaker.
But does any of that matter if both teams have lost every game? Might be one of the few non-Steeler games I'll have to watch.

sure, because they don't play all the same teams. Phins play NE twice for example which will likely drive their SoS up. Also, points scored comes into play somewhere deep into the tiebreakers.

EDIT: that said, ties do occur for draft position almost every year. I believe the flip a coin and then rotate positioning in rounds. Don't think it ever happened for the top spot though.

Getting a little ahead of it Ron
Don't the Steelers play the Fins after a bye week (tomlin usually has the team ready to play down to the competition in these instances).... these games make me more nervous than playing .500+ teams

WE DON'T KNOW that.............. I DON'T KNOW that anyone on the field cares about them getting the #1 pick....Many of these guys may not be with their respective teams next year.

Yes, these are 2 awful teams, but these are also Pro Athletes who play for pride and for the love of the game & to showcase their skills. These 106 guys taking the field are playing for their careers and huge paydays.

Tanking isn't done on the field, but rather in the front office...

The QBs should have to fight each other with clubs.

Why? Neither could connect.

A brief clip of the still-scoreless contest:

Damn Ron..

Too much idle time lately?

Yes, only had one customer in the last week.

(For those who don't know, I'm a funeral director.)

If they tie and end the season winless, their franchise should be forfeit. Sell it to another ownership group in a different State.
