Tomlin sucks

I'll say our Steelers have consistently underachieved under Coach T's reign. It might be time to say buh-bye to Coach Cool Shades!

You don’t say.... we’ll go ahead and ask the Rooney’s about that, see how that works out.
I’m done bitching about Tomlin, this is all on upper management now. ******* ridiculous, any other team would have parted ways with 90% of this coaching staff years ago. Just the same ol’ Mediocrity year in and year out, Rooney’s are just happy as long as merchandise money keeps rolling in. No pride anymore.

Tomlin refuses to play aggressively and holds back for the postseason... and thats why he loses vs bad teams too... he isn’t looking at the here and now...

Tomlin doesn't know how to be aggressive. After 13 years it should be apparent that he doesn't understand the game - ANY aspect of it. He doesn't develop talent. He doesn't scheme. He doesn't adjust. He does the same thing year after year after year. You might reasonably ask why he hasn't improved over that 13 years. Anyone else would have, or would have been dismissed. Especially with the talent he was given charge of. He entirely lacks the intellect to stand where he stands. And the Rooneys put themselves in the untenable position of owning the Rooney rule. So they have squandered 13 years of a HoF franchise QB and loads of other talent, some HoFers as well. They've lost to countless poor teams they should have mauled. They repeatedly show up for games like the one tonight (read: must win on national TV) utterly unprepared to such a lowly extent that even their talent can't overcome. Its a colossal, spectacular failure that repeats itself like a bad dream. And it WILL NOT change until the Rooneys swallow their Rooney rule and move along.

The Rooneys have shown their base how much they care about them and their 'storied' franchise. They don't. Or they would have jettisoned the tool that wanders their sideline wondering. Wondering. Wandering. And sometimes wandering into the path of a player on his way to the endzone.

Post season?!! Are you high?

I liked when the center didnt snap the ball even though that wasnt on Tomlin. The offensive game play was terrible. I have no problem with them trying it, but obviously it was not working so they should have switched it up. McDonald was not involved till it was too late, they abandon the run early and ran way too may 4-5 WR sets instead of keeping it simple. The whole 4th down stuff was ridiculous as well just no rhyme or reason. Kick a FG just to keep from getting shut out?

There were tons of people during the presser on Facebook live commenting "how is Tomlin supposed to win when Ben is his QB". Where the **** does these people come from.

For some reason, people, outside of diehard steeler fans, really overrate our dear head coach. I really have never figured out why. The people that watch every game, play after play, listen to his bullshit interviews certainly do not. You could hear a little rumble last year from the national media, wondering why, with all their talent they are not doing better.

Now you have some guys in the media saying Tomlin should have been awarded a Nobel peace prize for keeping the team together for as long as he did with all of the idiots antics. I think the other way. They should have got rid of him years ago if he was such a distraction, for maximum value. This is from a fan who thought AB was the best in the game by far.

One thing I will ask. I don’t live even close to Pittsburgh. I can’t feel the vibe of the city. Does the media go after Tomlin in the papers, talk shows? I can’t imagine say the New York media not roasting this guy alive with all the talent he has had, with so little to show for it.

By the way. I am starting to blame the Rooney’s more and more. The buck stops with them. It’s time they do the right thing for the fans. Could you imagine if you traveled to NE spending all your hard earned $$$$ a trip of a lifetime for some. To see that **** that was played tonight.

Rant Over.

Tomlin never takes the blame for anything.

I've been on the fence for years and tried to give Tomlin the benefit of the doubt, not anymore.

I'm ready to move on, tired of seeing this team unprepared like tonight's game and in our last playoff appearance where we were one and done against the LOL Jags or last year against the ****** Raiders when it was do or die for a playoff spot.

Too bad he killed the prime years of a franchise QB.

He is a former DC and DB coach, yet our defenses haven't been that great, particularly our secondary. Why?

3 playoff wins since 2010.

Time for a change.

Hell no. They barely ask him any questions that would require any kind of thoughtful response. He knows his job is safe and always will be.

I think the epitome of the frustration I have with Tomlin is summed up in Bud Dupree at OLB and Ryan Switzer at returner. If that is what you see as the best you can put out there after culling through damn near 100 professional players, I really take issue with your judgement. Switzer can catch, I will give that. but you could play 7 seasons and he won'rt make a truly impact play. In the highlight real of the Pats left tackle Bud Dupree didn't actually even attempt an evasive pass rush move. He ran at the guy and let him lock on. Yet you won't sit the guy and say, watch this guy Ola. He will at least try ******.

I was saying this exact thing in the off season, that giving him 9 million was idiotic, Ola or pretty much anyone could put up those numbers for way cheaper.

You won't play Ola and you cut a promising UFA for a guy that you would honestly look like the village idiot to keep next year. I would like to call it tomlin's Achilles heal, but there are several other short comings.

Chickillo is as worthless as Bud. Tuzar and Ola should be the guys over them two bums.

Yeah, I noticed Chickablo running around in circles and Dud running into Wynn's chest all night. All that was missing was Dirty Bed trailing the TE by four steps after the catch.

I had high hopes for Fichtner as OC but this gameplan was so pathetic that now i'm thinking he's just a guy calling plays off a sheet and not a real OC. He's not finding weaknesses on the defense and putting in a plan to exploit it. He's just throwing darts at the board.

Same for Butler or Tomlin, whoever actually runs that defense. Their understanding of how to counter an offense is laughably inept.

It's clear now why they were desperate for Devin Bush. They are just hoping he magically solves their defense by just being fast and hopefully he'll single-handedly take away the short passing game without them actually having to scheme anything. Because they have no idea what to do.

This team will probably win 10 games on raw talent alone as they usually do but if you think they're going to beat a team with a real coach in the playoffs, then you are crazy.

Fixing the secondary for this year meant bringing in mediocre Steven Nelson. They have an AAF guy starting a S

Adrian Amos was a free agent. A safety with actual coverage skills. Nope not interested.

It sucks to know your season is a dead end from game 1. I will watch the season purely for entertainment but there won't be any real excitement because I know how this movie ends already.

So owners dont give a **** about the Steelers winning. It's all about upholding the Rooney Rule whilst this team is run completely into the ground.

Tomlin needs to move on.
This team needs new blood and a new identity.

Tomlin has no clue anymore. Even his “rah rah” speeches are a thing of the past.
Didn’t Tomlinson get a contract extension? This has been is going nowhere. I do feel bad for Ben, Pounce DeCastro and the rest of the vets who have laid it out there over the years; this is the product their careers will likely end with. The younger players? Hope someone steps up and pulls this debacle together!

Fixed it for ya

Thankfully, Rooney didn’t give Tomlin a contract extension... oh, wait.

This ******* idiot just blamed the environment of the game for not using Nix on some short yardage situations, WTF does that even mean?????

I was thinking the same thing. What???? But Rooney extended his moron an extra year. Why not make this a prove it year rather than reward for mediocrity.

The Rooney Rule. So you forget Cowher's dark years? Everyone on here was calling for him to be fired. The Rooney's stood pat. It worked out for them. They are just doing the same thing.....but just because it worked out one time doesnt mean it will a second time though. It is way past time to move on. That is for the entire coaching staff. The bad part of it is Ben's final years are/were wasted.

I saw DK rip into the Pirates a couple of weeks ago......Particularity Huntington.

Will he do it with the Steelers? Based on some comments responses from him in the comments section on his site, I doubt it.

Status Quo appears safe.

That is the only real hope, an independent journalist calls out the emperor's attire. Local corporate media are cowardly shills. National media is elitist and lazy. They only cover the shock value and TMZ angle.
