Looks like Burns made the cut

I don't know about that. He's regressed each year and many didn't like the draft pick from the start.

I understand he wasn't what we had hoped. However, right now , the consensus on the board is "all hope is lost" with Burns. I think he is salvageable with a high ceiling. I think these guys run on raw talent for their college careers and then flounder and cant right the ship on their own. I think
that 2-3 months of intensive training, and focus can make a huge difference. I learned this back in 1987 in Basic Training.

He should have done that after his first year... or even his 2nd.

What player has never been particularly good, performed that poorly and then achieved a high ceiling?

you could say troy,, he barely played his rookie year. Burns started.

you could say Ike Taylor.. Remember he had some issues too,, turned out great.

Terry Bradshaw. I remember Joe Gilliam and Hanratty playing in front of him.

James Harrison. you know his story.

I know its not common. But if hes a better player than some of the others I call it a salvage, and his contract will be adjusted accordingly next year. Im saying , "what if he got it together" ?

Given the steelers ****** record of drafting corners in the last 10 yrs or whatever.. I will agree.. Its not likely.

Are you still speaking for me? We all know the deal on Burns.

If the Steelers didn’t try to trade Burns before they cut him I’d be shocked. Sure they tried. They were no suckers because he sucked.

Bing, bang, boom, someone open up the saloon. Straight up truth. Word, booty.

Burns has had amble time and has not come close to being a descent player. He is still a work in progress this team could do without.

Speaking of Artie got Burns

James Washington GREAT play in 7v7. Stacks Burns, catches 50 yard bomb from Ben. #Steelers

So is this Washington doing good?

or Artie doing bad?

I think the main reason he is here is that he costs too much against cap if they cut him. That and another in a long line of players that Tombert drafted and keep around hoping a switch goes on at some point so it doesn't look like they ****** up another high pick on defense. We've seen that story before though. Ain't your fanboy page like Facebook where 80% of the posters think Mikey Cool Shades can do no wrong.
