Watching highlights like that, just shows you how slow the game used to be.

They still weren't the "forgotten" ones no matter how you try to spin it. So Ike was spot on. But by all means continue on with your drivel.

Elbert Everett "Elbie" Nickel (December 28, 1922 – February 27, 2007) was a professional American football tight end in the National Football League. He played eleven seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1947–1957).
Generally considered one of the best tight ends in Steelers' history, Nickel recorded 329 career receptions as a tight end and is now second in career receptions by a Steelers' tight end behind Heath Miller (490). In conjunction with the 2007 celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Steelers, Nickel was selected as one of 33 players on the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team.

John Jackson had to be one of the most underrated LTs of all time.
He and Dermontti Dawson were the cornerstones of great Steelers offensive line play for around a decade and the guy never made a Probowl, as far as I know.

I remember when we lost him in FA to SD in 1998, IIRC. It seemed like a loss it took a long time to recover from. I think we signed Will Wolford, who was decent, but the OL
seemed to take a step backwards.
