Colts are giving Justin Houston a two-year, $24 million contract, per source.

Colts finally spend some of their massive amount of cap.

who else is left that can make an impact on defense?

$12m per aint too bad if he aint outta juice

If Steelers sign another free agent they likely lose their 3rd round comp pick for Bell in 2020. They have lost 3 and signed 2 that qualify. If it ends up 3 and 3, no comp pick, doesn't matter
what the salary is. Barron didn't qualify because he was released.

****...All that time and POSTS we wasted on SN. He was checking out apartments, he followed our players on TWITTER....

I for one checked that thread like 10X a day to see if we got him.....

No ******* loyalty dude

Houston we have a problem

For all future reference a Steelres FA signing works like this. There is talk of it or no talk and happens within 12 hours of word. The Steelers dont get into bidding wars but do get used as chips in that game.

He was never used properly.

Yeah, if you can find a healthy ajayi...

Not picking up CJ last year kept us out of the POs.

I thin k it was a ;little more than just that..........................

Salute the nation

BS. We missed the playoffs by one game. You think Ridley is in that game if we had CJ and Samuels?

Bold prediction: Dupree is getting the same sacks as Houston in 2019.

That'd be great, sure, but sacks aren't the end-all-be-all in a player's production. Houston sets the edge and is also phenomenal in run support whereas Bud overruns every play or gets washed out because he's weak. You also have to look at pressures, hits, and disruption% as well as coverage ability. Bud is not superior in any regard.

Bud got better at maintaining his lane later in the year. I hope that continues.

Bud had the same # of TFL and 1 mor QB hit than Houston. Houston blows him away on FF. Hard to fault Bud on that when we seem to not shine in that area by anyone outside of Watt.

I'm surprised Bud even signed that contract, knowing Houston was better and wanted to come here.

Bud also played 150 more snaps than Houston.
