Colin Kaepernick reaches settlement with NFL

Its nearly unfuckingbelievable that they paid his worthless *** anything but then you realize the NFL is full in for the agendas of the day club and it makes perfect sense. Another death notch on the NFL being any part of my future. I'm hanging by a thread of 47 years as a Steeler fanatic. That's it. The rest has become nauseating.

Now we see why he didn't care if he played again.

The question is, will he be offered a spot by any team? If so, it better be at vet minimum, with no incentives and no promises.

IMO a die hard Steeler fan is not a die hard "Steelers Fan".

My bet is that Kap's lawyers discovered an email or something that would have embarrassed an owner. All those NFL emails and all it would take would be for 1 email where somebody forwarded a joke or some comment that you could spin as racist.

This was a shakedown plain and simple. If it was a stand on principle then there's no way Kap would have taken money and a non-disclosure.

The only winner in this is Kap's lawyer who will probably get a third of the settlement before taxes.

It's not like most team owners aren't old white men from a generation with, shall we say, less than politically correct attitudes about race.

Close Tape. Most if not all correspondence would have used for the litigation. It is understood that during the discovery phase, the owners would be required to give up their personal phones for examination. That caused the NFL to proceed with settling at not allowing a actual trial.

Some will say another “botched” job by the Commish. Personally, I would have let them go to trial. The NFL is a business, privately owned. As with any business they can mandate any reasonable employee requirements. Want to individually protest? Do it off the clock, not on it. Applies to every working American.

You know the players only started standing on the field during the national anthem after the NFL started to get paid for it. And all those half time shows in honor of our service members?...again the owners are getting paid. While I don't agree with the platform Kap used I understand why he did(and it had nothing to do with our service members). The owners are making money off of the patriotism of their fan base. Shameless.

No no no, it's fine for billionaire ******** to sell patriotism, but if someone peacefully protests they are the shitbag. This is Murica, we love rich pricks because we seem to think they are somehow better than the rest of us.

Joe

Yep, the whole thing was and is bullshit. And people in here claiming the NFL was foolish for settling? No, its very smart. The last thing they want is for this stupid thing to get dragged on and on and for the owners to have **** about them thrown out in public that shows what ******** they can be. Whatever they paid him was chump change to them. It's good business sense. As for Kap, don't hand me this **** that no team wants him cause he sucks. You've got teams trotting out Case Keenum and Blake Bortles for sucks sake. The owners didn't want Kap because of the heat president numb nuts brought. That much is blatantly obvious.

Makes me wonder when AB will point his finger at Trump...

He's out of football for one reason only. He wanted a guaranteed starting spot and guaranteed starter money for someone who was benched before he became a social justice warrior. Anything less wasn't good enough for the great Kaepernick.

I love how NOBODY mentions that Kraperdick was benched because he sucked LONG before all this nonsense.
I still feel his kneeling was more to make himself relevant again somehow since his career as a QB was exposed as a flash in the pan fraud.

I agree.

And why is it never talked about ? Because journalists like stories. Journalists NEED stories. Who reads a story about an overpaid irrelevant player who becomes a pain in the *** ? Nobody. But if you can frame him as some kind of courageous activist putting a $20m career on the line then you've got people reading your article, and writing to you in social media.

Fact is, nobody wanted him because he was not worth his contract. Period. The fact that he was a potential pain in the *** in the locker room only added to it all. If he had the skills of Brady then SF would never have even dropped him in the first place.

I'm NOT stirred up at all, but her influence is a big part of how this all got started, like it or not.

Once he said activist I knew what he was trying to get at. We can always debate word usage or sentence structure.....

I think you have been here long enough to know DIC never has bad intentions................. He is one if you read something you think could mean one thing, you can give he benefit of the doubt.
