OK Put me in the NFL is fixed camp

I don't think the league is fixed. I think the Pats have never stopped cheating. it is not a league thing it is a Belicheck thing. greatest coach of all time my ***. biggest cheater of all time

Words are wise young Padawan they are................. The word "fixed" is a pretty broad term used to describe and included in that description is the out come of the CHEATRIOTS games as from their cheating it looks like the game is fixed. Add in the fact that the "rog" / league looks the other way, it is then associated with the league as "FIXED".

Greatest cheat on or off turf.!!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

It's fixed to an extent.
My opinion.

If a game is close, I've seen refs miss or throw flags on crucial drives which gives momentum.
For the most part though I still believe teams can overcome a bad call and piss off the nfl higher ups.

I remember Ron Burgundy saying the nfl makes it look like the cheats can still win after getting caught.
Considering the coddling of Brady. Stuff just seems too fishy still.

I know. Never could happen. No reason for them to try to keep the games close and viewers tuned in.

It ONLY take 3-8 plays to manipulate out come......

I submit it takes just one to make sure the game remains in doubt.

Example? Holding calls on Steelers opening drive of 2nd half vs. Chargers. Conner busts a 15-yard gain, moving the ball into Chargers territory, and if the Steelers go up 30-7, game over man, game over.

Nope. There's the holding, never shown on replay, Steelers back to 1st and 20, punt, and game back in play.

Do you really believe that if the Pats were cheating that every owner, GM, coach, player etc etc etc would just sit there and not say anything? Also Roger was hired by the owners. If he is sweeping the cheating under the rug they have to power to take action. There is no way I am going to believe that every body under the sun would stay silent.

That holding call was shown on replay.

It was questionable, but not a total phantom call.

How much did the owners say when spygate came to light? They couldn't sweep that **** under the rug fast enough. Then you add deflate gate, communication interruptions, stolen playbooks, among other shady stuff. But yet an organization that went to that much trouble to circumvent the rules, just suddenly decided to stop. If the commissioner had any balls they'd only have 2 rings at best. Nothing they've accomplished since Bill and Ernie showed up should be legitimized. GOATs? About as much as Lance Armstrong.

The owners wouldn’t want the league to be shown in an unfavorable light. They’ve seen what happened to baseball (twice) and the betting scandal with the NBA. They were unhappy how Goodell caused more harm than good. Mara, Hunt, Rooney, Ford family and even Al Davis felt that Goodell covered for his friend (Kraft) first before the league. When DeflateGate occurred, Goodell was pressured by those owners to come down hard regardless of Kraft pitching a fit. If you notice his original comments defending Brady, then after an owners meetings apologized for the actions by his team.

If my billion dollar franchise was being treated unfairly I would do everything I could to get to the bottom of it. Deflategate was a joke. Old QBs / players said that was nothing unusual to dr the footballs in some way. Besides after the deflated balls were taken out the Pats did much better anyways. I dont think getting rid of Goodell or punishing the pats will effect the leagues image. Most fans hate Goodell and a lot are unhappy with the way the Pats situation was handled. A new commish w/o baggage could cause fans to gain more respect for the league.

Should I have said 1 to 8 plays................ More times than not it will take more than ONE play. Remeber the NON-called off sides.........that play actually netted a TD, possible more than one play.........could do it also.

If your billion dollar franchise is part of a consortium that is making billions in revenue, you aren’t going to jeopardize your revenue stream. Especially to cause attention that will hurt your revenue stream and the product so as the product doesn’t sell. Its Goodell’s job to keep the players, league, and sport focused on a common goal without bias so as to make money. His preferential treatment of Kraft caused significant negative attention from congress and almost got the league’s Anti-Trust exemption vacated. That soured some particular prestigious owners who put him there. The private meetings of those owners is where Kraft felt the heat from his other 31 bosses.

Why didn’t Jerrah pursue litigation against the league when Bryant’s obvious catch was called incomplete and cost them a shot at the SB? Because he is a smart businessman. You don’t blow up the loaded mine if it means keeping the others you are collectively sharing it’s revenue with out. The league is stronger as a whole. Goodell, broke that with his handling of Kraft.

Yeah, the Chargers @ Patriots game was a real nail biter. I bet nobody turned that one off early

Lol ok? Turning it off early? But people tuned in, right?

My point stands. People are tripping over themselves to watch nfl games, particularly playoff games, and have been for a long time. Whether its to see the bully on the block get slayed by the hopeful upstart, or to see the bully continue their dominance, fans watch.

sounds like your saying there is no need to fix the games because fans will watch anyways

If they weren't/aren't cheating, why were those tapes destroyed by the league office?
