What did people think about UCF? LSU was playing without their top 4 CBs and top 4 DL. They had OL ready to play DL and WRs playing CB. Joe Burrow had the best game of his career, going 21 of 34 for 394 yards passing and four touchdowns for an offense that racked up 555 yards and averaged 6.5 yards per play against the Knights defense.

This is why they won't be sniffing a National playoff game anytime soon. LSU was down to playing their 3rd string defense mixed with offensive players and still shut down UCF. The LSU offense manhandled UCF.

Agreed it was a disappointing defensive performance by UCF...but despite that, they might of won this game if their starting QB played..

However...they need to move into one of the power conferences if their desire is to compete for a playoff position..

I highly doubt it. I know if half of LSU's defense had played they would have had no chance even if Ben was playing QB for them.

Bowls aren't much anymore if you're not in the playoffs.
It's fun to watch the occasional blowout, but when you have P5 conference team who doesn't give a damn about the bowl, hard to hold the win high.


Most bowls are glorified exhibition

They's smart..

Its pretty hard to get amped up for the "Belk Bowl" or the "Cheez-It Bowl" or the "Camping World Bowl"

It did seem like an accomplishment before they totally went overboard with the sponsors. I mean the Gator Bowl was a lesser bowl but it seemed to have more importance before they tacked on some corporate sponsor to the name..Oh well what can you do?
