Bowls

Having lived in Lexington the first 9 years of my life, this a a great win for Kentucky. Penn State should have gone for it on fourth down, they we were rolling.

Agreed. I was pretty shocked they kicked the fg

motivation is huge in bowls. I don't think Texas is that good. Georgia should win easy, unless they come out flat because they are disappointed about choking vs Bama and missing the playoff.

That's what I'm afraid of.
I hope a motivated Dawg squad comes out tonight.

Had my eye on Sam Ehlinger for a while now...could be an adequate eventual replacement for Ben.

Texas came out fired up tonight. This should be one of the better games this bowl season. Go Dawgs

Dawgs look like they are ready for the off season. I know Texas is a good team but no reason for type of start.

The Dawgs are unmotivated.
Was honestly expecting this

I'll give the Dawgs mid 2nd quarter or half time. They'll come out swinging

Georgia players sure enjoyed Notre Dame getting pounded yet they are getting rolled by Texas right now. Bevo going after Uga before the game must've been an omen.

Seniors for Georgia checked out of this game during practice.
Kirby Smart sat some guys down and told them play for pride or they won't be part of the program.

The way the players were running their mouths on twitter. I was expecting them to come out flat.

Texas deserves this win based on passion and intensity.
I say TD for Elhinger too

Maybe Georgia didn’t belong, just like ND and OK. Sure didn’t look like it, anyway.

I don’t think Georgia gave a rats *** about that game. If you are not in the CFP, every other game is just a participation bowl and pretty much meaningless.

I've watched the SEC all year. Georgia isn't that bad of a team. Some of the players obviously didn't care about being ready for this game. Kirby should have sat them and played the ones that wanted to play. I'd rather lose with players that want it than lose with "Seniors" who feel entitled.

Oh, that's right. Georgia is from the SEC. Yeah, I'm sure they would have tried harder and played better if only they had gotten into the CFP.

**** happens. Some days, it's just not your day.

So Penn State lost a failed FAKE PUNT and a missed kick?

lololol

This bowl season has proven that with a few exceptions, the players not in the playoff just don't give a ****. My team had it's 2 best players sit out, and the team isn't loaded with talent to begin with. Both players would have made a difference. I won't spend another dime on tickets, merchandise, or alumni support. Just do away with "college" football already and go to a farm system.

I remember, as a kid, watching every bowl game and thinking what a great time of the year it was with the best of the best playing each other. Now, it has lost the magic. I don't know if it was just me being a kid and not realizing no one cared or that times have changed. All I know is that I watched what might add up to 6 quarters of bowl games excluding the three games yesterday that were on the tv and I passively watched as I was working around the house and the National semifinals... The Marshall game was so bad I couldn't stay engaged and turned the TV and the WVU game was putrid to watch.
