What would it take for you to want Shades to go? Please do tell us, Ike. Tomlin needs to go. He's holding us back. I'll take Frazier over him, and a few other coaches for that matter.
What would it take? Taking the emotional aspect out of it, which is the necessity to being successful in the business itself, there are various reasons. The most important reason would be losing games and not making the playoffs on a consistent basis. Not losing the locker room is another. And before you chime in that he has....there has been only two players, AB and Harrison which has caused known issues. Both with the player being in the wrong. If it was handled internally, then that's all we can say. How it was handled or will be handled is something we are clamoring for, the club doesn't have to reveal unfortunatley. Its a business with employees and confidential to an extent. Bell is outside the purview of Tomlin to handle no matter what you think. He doesn't handle contract negotiations or players not on a contract. When he was on contract, he was suspended when he broke team rules. He had an excused absence from a walk through....we don't know why. We can be suspicious, but he still played and performed anyway.
Unless there is a complete disagreement in recommendations from Art 2, I see Tomlin coming back, Butler/Smith fired maybe Porter, and new staff to help managing overseeing replay and time management. like 95% of coaches do already. Tomlin can't afford to be stubborn on this issue. Its ridiculous for him to even argue about it.
You would take Rich Kotite over Tomlin just to prove an agenda on your part. Funny thing, you question EVERYTHING about this franchise....the coaches, the players, the GM even the owner. Why haven't you interviewed for a GM position for Arena League, or even Semi Pro League, heck why not the new AAF and XFL leagues. You've seem to have everything thing figured out even right down to contract negotiations, but not acted upon your perceived immense knowledge of the game or the idiosyncrasies of player drafts and free agency.
You can't even acknowledge who the current Team President/Owner is.
