A 'chill' is right. Never have we had a President - outside of maybe Nixon - who faced legimate charges of treason as Trump is currently. At the end of the day, Nixon can't hold a candle to the Donald as far as the level and immersion of crimes against the Republic. We are in uncharted territory here. I'm shocked the Donald even had the balls to show up at this funeral. It was abundantly clear to everyone he's persona non grata like we've never seen in the history of this country. There are real, bonafide reasons for that. Only his hardcore base is blind to it, everyone else knows full well what's happening. A real milestonse moment in US history. We should all hope and pray truth, decency and the strength of the Constitution will prevail over this circus clown who's taken the country hostage these past two years.

There's never been a more important time for patriots to stand strong and unite against this clear & present danger to our democracy.

You know Steelworth, I know where you're coming from. But sorry dude, it's crocodile tears given the non-stop vitriol and insults coming from the Trump base over the past two years. Just like their red-nosed clown leader, the Trump cult has taken on the angry, bellicose, attack-first approach we've seen from Trump from the very beginning. Sorry if I'm hesitant to feel sorry for the MAGA base after two years of non-stop attacks and insults. But yes, in time, your point is well taken. There will need to be some healing in this country after the open wounds caused by Trump and his supporters. That time is not now, but maybe 6-12 months down the road the country can start forgiving all the hatred, the blatant, open lies & vitriol brought on by Trump and his base.
