Le’Veon Bell Should Report Today or Tomorrow

Tomlin has done good job, but he’s not been innovative nor does he coach with the sense of urgency that is needed to go from good to great. He’s comfortable, which is why it takes Art II to drop Haley. Tomlin needs to feel the element of fear again; and that would put the team back in real Super Bowl hunt, not just playoff contender.

Possibly but if he sits the entire season then the Steelers can still tag him again next year. If he wants to be a FA after this season then he has to show up next week. In hindsight where the Steelers messed up was in giving him an exclusive tag instead of a non-exclusive tag.

Steelers wont franchise tag him next year. No reason to.

It was always my understanding that Tomlin never wanted Haley in the first place. That second sentence I quoted just because I liked how crazy it sounded.

If he holds out the year, and the Steelers high tag him nonexclusive next year, it will be about $25M

Now Bell's 2 year guarantee is 2 years at $12.5M BELOW the value the Steelers were willing to pay him last year.

This would **** Bell's agent, and the only way to save face, is to work out a trade, so the Steelers will get their 1st and 3rd rounder. I'm all for that.

From business strategy, Bell’s agent is an idiot who should get a new career. Bell is an idiot for giving up $15 million & destroying his personal brand in the process. The guy could be pulling $20M in endorsements alone—heck I could negotiate that for him.

Let him go. He’s not showing anyway and no one wants him.

EXACTLY what makes you think he doesn't feel the fear?????? He's on a five game winning streak and 3-game domination streak........ against good ball clubs......... HOW much more does he need, and be specific to what he needs to do. I'm not saying he hasn't had past relapses but he has brought this sinking ship completely back and mended the sails into a race horse.

If we could get a 1st and 3rd I'd be happy as hell. This is coming from a guy who slobbered over us picking him...**** this guy

I think stats just cannot be everything. Tonight Conner had only 60 yards rushing. But when it really counted, he definitely rocked it. So I would say this one was a personal win for Conner. Conner 1 / Grown-up Defenses: 0

The Jaguars bit a chunk out of Conner's ***. However Ju-Ju and Antonio decided to will the Steelers to win. Conner 1 / Grown-up Defenses: 1

The Broncos just mugged Conner. To the Steelers front-office: i'm liking this strategy less and less.

Grown-up Defenses: 2 / Conner: 1

I think Connor is running out of steam which I put on the coaching staff. We abuse our #1 RB whether it was Bell or Connor. We did abandon the run early in the Den game, but Ben was being very effective. I say stick with what is working. I hope Connor find a second wind or gets over any lingering injuries he may have.

I would like to see more of JaySam over Ridley. Just the little sample makes me want to see more.

People always "take what they give" well the pass is what was being given. They were loading the "BOX" with 8 to 10 guys sometimes (I re-watched and this is consistent) so we took the pass and it was working baring the turn-overs.

There is no way they were able to double JuJu and Brown and keep 10 in the box. Even just doubling Brown means that 9 is the most they could have had in the box. I don't get where this 10 in the box is coming from.

On the first drive the 14 yard pass to Brown had 7 in the box. Even on Grimble's fumble on 3 and 1 with them playing the run they only have 9 in the box with a deep safety over AB. He's the guy that makes the play. I just don't see this constant 10 in the box you guys keep talking about.... I'll rewatch it to see if I can find it.

I'll re-watch as well and see if it was my B & G glasses getting in the way but i did see it a couple of times. 8 often enough to go with the pass as it was working, barring the turn overs.

Watch the plays with 8-10 in the box. We passed from that set.

Too bad he got hurt just as he was making some headway, but the Bolts bottled Conner. 60 yards rushing/ 14 receiving. ****, this experiment is not going well.

Grown-up Defenses: 3 / Conner: 1

Dude he only got 15 carries. He doesn't call the plays. The staff bottled Conner.

Leveon Bell, 2017. Week one, Cleveland, 10 carries 32 yards. Week 3, Chicago, 15 carries 61 yards. Week 5, Jax, 15 carries 47 yards, week 8, Detroit, 25 carries 75 yards.... I could keep going. It's not like Bell was ALWAYS this great back that never got stopped. Conner is doing just fine.

Right. They should have offered Bell Philip Lindsay money!

It's not that much. But his best carry was negated by a holding call and I think his best yardage reception was also negated, can't remember why right now.

Certainly that is true. Bell did get stopped sometimes. And it's early, only 4 games against good defenses. God i hope Conner makes more impact than this though.
