Question: Are we SURE LeVeon is better than Conner?

Conner has better speed, better power, better moves ( He’s the top rated guy in making a guy miss ) and plays with passion. His spin move and stiff arm allow him to get extra yardage and he’s the type of back that can beak a defenses will.

The only think he really needs to wok on is ball security when he’s trying to do too much.

With 7 games played, he’s got 1066 total yards. 4.7 per rush 10.4 per catch. 9 touchdowns. IMO this is better than Bell ever did to start a season.

Conner should go to the pro bowl. Screw Bell.

Pass the stats, which is obviously impressive.

It is the difference in PPG that stands out to me. The O is arguably performing better with Conner. And that is really what matters.

For this O Conner is the better fit.

We can say **** Bell but we are stuck with him, so they better at least use him as a relief pitcher. Besides Rid hasn't been holding onto the rock, didn't that get him benched in cheatville?

Is Bell going to put 100% effort in when/if he comes back?

That is a good question. You would think with everything riding on the line the answer would be yes.

But he has proven not to be the smartest cookie.

Mike Wallace slacked his last year here and still got a big FA contract.

This is true. Our red zone blues as gone as Conner is a power runner. Haley was addition by subtraction for the offense as well.

If Bell a relief pitcher now? We all saw how missing camp lead to a very slow start in 2017. What makes you think he'll will be ready to go if he decides to report? Will the OL accept him back, or just tolerated him as a part time player likely out next year? The way I see it, we are better off without Bell unless an injury hits.

And Bell probably will get a decent sized contract too.

But his actions upon returning can play with just how much he will get.

The thing is there is plenty of stupid decision making teams out there, so I am sure someone will show him the money. Regardless..................

Yes James Conner is a better fit, it's showing in more ways than just pure performance, the entire Steelers roster rallying around him lifts everyone not just our offense. As has been said in many different ways, character counts and Conner provides plenty. Glad for him.

Let Bell take over for McDonald on special teams when and if he returns. I'd personally continue to have Ridley spell Conner, why should his role be diminished? He's done nothing but show up and give 100% too.

Someone will pay MeVeon next year, trust me. A team like the Jets, Colts, Redskins will throw money his way to bolster additional interest in their team and thinking MeVeon will do for them what he did here. There’s always a team or two that are out there you can always count on for this.
I will add with his style of running whomever signs the guy better have a OL that can adjust their blocking techniques to his patient style of running.

Conner is a better goal line back and doesnt take plays off like MeVeon does. He is also younger and fresher. Bell is obviously a top 3-5 NFL back and possibly Conner can get there.

I certainly don't trust Bell to put himself in harms way to save our QB in pass protection under the current circumstances. The margin between the two is very thin, but I trust James...can't say that for Bell anymore.

James has earned the job, Bell comes in only to spell Conner as needed...he can save himself for someone who cares

I totally agree. Conner has earned the starting job from here on out. Better numbers, better attitude, younger, no drug suspensions, did I say GREAT attitude, more break away speed, more TDs. You gotta stick with Conner.

That being said, I have NO DOUBT that cool shades will **** in Conner's face, and plug LeMeon in as the starter the first game he is back. No doubt, and that sucks for Conner, the team, and the fanbase. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Top 6? I would say top 3.

Ridley really hasn't lit it up and has iffy hands.

Bell would be the better relief pitcher, despite my dislike of him. And my personal want of him gone. He is going to sign after the trade deadline so we are screwed there.

So if you have to pay him, you want to use him in some capacity.I am sure the Steelers aren't in the business of saying **** it let's just throw millions out of the window.

I damn sure play Conner as the feature back. But Bell would get to play in relief and on special teams.

I was pondering third downs. But I am afraid of screwing with what is working with Conner....................
