We need Bell, and everyone know it...

We'd be 4-0.

Conner had almost 200 yrds against the browns. Bell would have made no difference

We were down 21 points against the chiefs making the running game non existent.

We won against TB

The Ravens were in our backfield at the snap. No RB can overcome that. Not to mention Ben misfirings. JC was fine in dump offs and so far is averaging more YPC than Bell

I would trade Bell for Conner and $15M to improve our defense in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty sure Conner is already on our team.....................................................LOL

Bell already has split the locker room, he's contributed to the me ME me culture here. To say we would be 4-0 if bell was on the roster is ASSinine. If and when he comes in and actually plays...... It will 4 weeks before he is game shape and that is ONLY if he is totally dedicated but he held out worried of over use and injury..... What will his playing attitude be????????

The Bell was rung when he refused the last offer and put this team into more turmoil than it needed.

We need to move on with what we have. Why fool around with someone who already did this to the rest of the team?

What is TRULY sad is that though BB is struggling, and he is, we usually had other members of the team to step up and cover until he got back into his groove.

Someone would play big and save the day.

Where are they? Bell, you say? Where is he? Jet skiing?

I think bell is very good. And yes better than Connor. Him alone in the backfield is enough of a running threat that we can run 4 wide and still run the ball. With Connor you can't. Imo use nix with Connor with 3 receivers. Lots of play action.

Let's talk about this...

Yes, Connor was above average in the Browns game and I suspect that had Bell been in training camp and 'ready to play' he would have had similar, if not better numbers.

Do you really think KC would have been up 21 had Bell been in the game??? They took away the running game early and Connor did what he could but KC didn't even fear our offense until we tied the game up and they adjusted accordingly. We never had a real answer for Mahomes but he might have been on the sideline longer w/ our All-Pro RB on the field. Just my opinion.

You're right about TB - had a decent start to the game and FitzMagic had to falter somewhere...

The Rats are always a formidable opponent against our running game - ALWAYS. The difference is game planning against Bell and Connor, right now, is like prepping for The Bus or prepping for Mendenhall. JB was always reliable (so is Bell) and Mendenhall not so much...

Some of you guys are nuts. This team isn't winning **** with the defense they have and the coaches they have. That defense that got shredded by ******* Blake Bortles &Co. Got worse, not better. Bell isn't going to help that. The offense isn't going to score 50 points a game. I think the Steelers should hold ground and cut him in a few weeks. He got 2 very fair deals and said **** that. It's been over two years of this crap. He ain't saving what's busted and that's reality. His ship has sailed and I honestly hope he finds his goldmine on another team. Hopefully he can recoup all of the millions he's throwing away to save himself for someone worthy. He's not going to be worth a **** for his first 3 games back anyway.

No hate here. It's just business right? Well jet ski away dude. You obviously don't need the money nor care enough about winning to even show up. Life goes on,so does the team after you're long gone.

Here's a bump for No Nuts.

Unless he creates lockeroom turmoil, the team is better with him.
Check please!

**** Bell, I'd move his *** so fast he'd think he was a on a checkers board in an old folks home.

Joe

If only the Steelers had offered Bell something like $20 million up front and guaranteed 2 years on his 5 year contract! Then he might have had a field-leveling contract AND security. Alas... Oh wait!

Maybe it IS about $17+ million a year, AND a 5 year guarantee AND a $20 million signing bonus!

We're a better team with him yes, but we will have him for half a season at most and then he's on his way outta tahn. So...meh...I don't care much one way or the other.

Excercise the exempt roster 2 week no pay and we have him ONLY 1/4 of the season..................about the end of seson he will be in football shape so zero production till then. I'll stick with JAMES CONNER.

I would like to move him if they can. I think his presence will be a big problem. But honestly, I can't release the guy unless they are really out of it and you just want to save the dough. Sorry not happening. If they can't move him, start him as a third down back and see where it leads. I kinda feel like when he gets back in the dressing room he will probably shut the **** up because if he is talking it will lower his almighty dollar next year.

No not even third down. I give him Ridley's change of pace role. And a heavy does of special teams play.

You cannot bite off your nose to spite your face. I've seen the Pats take guys who looked UN-useable and squeeze the last bit out of them. Its a business arrangement and nothing more. But you can't pay someone almost a million dollars a week to do nothing. The guy is an undeniable talent and a match up issue for anyone. I don't think you throw him in as a starter, but he is taylor made for third down. Great blitz pickup and arguably the best check down in the game. I know feelings are strong, but if you are going to deny him a role, then cut him and watch him go to the Pats.

Well I don't cut him, and I do understand using a talent. I guess if the team accepts him as a change of pace they would accept him as a 3rd down back.

Does make sense, and probably the most sense.

I guess I just want him traded, but if he stays the Steelers have to do what is best for business.

And being a third down back might be that.

I can change my opinion here.

But Bell still a **** you.

I can't believe that the Eagles have not offered up a 2nd for Bell. Ajayi is injured (as usual) and looks like he is done. Clement is injured and can't pick up a simple blitz. Sproles is injured and old. It's such an obvious landing spot.

Hard to truly offer something for someone who can't be moved until he is signed.

I think Bell needs to sign before we know if a team truly wants to get in on a trade. If you believe the clippings there has been some interest out there.

But Bell will need to sign to see just how much.

i'd rather not send him to Philly. He can have some taste of success there.
my first destination for him is Buffalo. Then Seattle.

There goes that damn common sense again...

He can't have success in Seattle? They have a capable coach. They are just in a semi rebuilding mode.

I like the two teams with cap space the Jets and Indy. And maybe even the Raiders. Not convinced any of those three have a long term clue.

I want him traded too. Would take a second from just about anyone but the Pats*. If they want him it's a 1st. I feel he would king make those ******* and I'd only he willing to do that for a one. My feelings are if not the Steelers anyone but the Pats*.

People, people, people...you can't trade a player who is NOT under contract. Bell is NOT. Stop the madness.
