Time to say Goodbye to Mike Tomlin?

Sorry the team is not winning 11 games. They will be lucky to end at .500.

More than likely they won't fire any coaches during the year.

So that means a lot more D suck.

The O can improve, but if they are constantly pressing because they are playing from behind it will be a mixed bag of results.

And we know that D scheme is going to stay the same. If they were going to change it up they would have by now.

Yeah it is simplifying the D that is the problem not the scheme!

We have huckleberry hick as a defensive coordinator and his sidekick best buddies with everyone captain cool shades.

And on O we have trying to figure it out first time NFL signal caller captain clueless.

I would love love to be wrong, but yeah don't see it.

The Falcons game is now a must win. Less than 10% of NFL teams since the NFL-AFL merger have made the playoffs after five games with just one win. If anyone has the exact odds, please show them here.

We are 0-2 in the AFC, and 0-2 at home. If the Steelers lost to the Falcons we are 0-3 at home.

The odds suggest that either Cincinnati or Baltimore will likely win next week, pushing us further back in the division race. Perhaps both teams will win next week. The least likely probability is they both lose.

As we know Tomlin coached teams have had the less success on the road, often losing games to inferior teams. We have 4 tough road games ahead. @ Cincinnati, @ Baltimore, @ Jacksonville, and @ New Orleans.

We'd better win on Sunday if not, the season in all probability is over. And while that would suck, it could signal Tomlin's waterloo moment. A large broom, starting with our head coach is long overdue.

Completely agree, coach

Time to say goodbye to Tomlin??!

It's BEEN time!

Realistically we can only lose 3 and at most 4 more games to make the playoffs. With our schedule coming up this could be very difficult even if we start playing better. We have the Chargers / Saints / Falcons / Pats left. Not to mention Cincy, Ravens again, and the Jags. That is 8 tough games right there. I fell the end is near for Tomlin.

Tomlin is going nowhere. The Chargers, Saints and Falcons have no defense. All of them are as bad if not worse than the Steelers. The bungles have given up 3 less points than the Steelers in 4 games. Plus their QB is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The Steelers can beat all of those teams. They usually split with the rats. Again the Steelers are a clusterfuck but the NFC south is about as bad as the AFC north. The Steelers will win 10 games. Ben can get you 8 on his own.

We also have no defense and playing against Rivers, Brees, and Ryan is not going to help. We have no one to cover Julio Jones and Riddley. We have no one to match up with Kamara, Thomas, and Watson. Brees will destroy our zone if we do not switch up. Rivers currently has 11 TDs to 2 INTs and they have scored 35+ the last 2 games. The Jags destroyed us 2x last year and our history against the Pats is abysmal. We usually play well against the Bengals so may have a better chance there. I wish I was half as optimistic as you.

Jones is banged up with two injuries didn't practice today. We will see if he even plays Sunday.

It's worked well for an unnamed team from the Boston, so . . . .

If our owner spent as much advertising dollars with the NFL as their owner...........we'd have our own REF too.!!!!

Norv is turning around the mediocre Cam newton who is completing 68% of his passes this year after being sub 60% for his career. Can you see Tomlin as a DC doing the equivalent for any defense ?

It was time for Tomlin to go in 2012 and then in 2013 and then 2014 and then I did not care because they did not care. Seriously, if those **** shows did not get him fired then what would it actually take?

I have lost passionate interest in the team because of Tomlin. I still root for the Steelers. Tomlin will not be able to turn this team around. He doesn't have what it takes.

He initially lost me when he thought the lowdown, used up, dog killer was a good fit for the Steelers. I know I'm biased against dog killers.

I also have lost my fanatical desire to support this team. We as a family would attend at least one game a year, somewhere, some years two. My apathy is a combination of factors, but all are directly attributable to the current ownership. The current ownership has allowed this **** show circus to continue for years. I have also come to the conclusion, they are accepting of the product produced. They are also complicit in the wholesale pussyfication of the game as we have known it. They have decided to cater to the “Fantasy” casual fan, instead of those fans who helped them creat the juggernaut it used to be. This I believe was their worst mistake, and it is unforgivable for me.

I know my single family is not going to break them, but I no longer support them with my money. I will watch them on network tv when available, and whenever they play in Denver (as I always go for free), but the days of me spending a few thousand dollars for this product are over.

Can I have first crack at your memorabilia?

:peace:

Tomlin must have really sold Dan and Artie a hell of a bag of goods. How can Artie not be seeing through this charade and overrated coach. We’ve done no more than win a few AFC North titles the last 8 seasons only to wash out in the playoffs with all this talent. You change coordinators, assistant coaches but as the article states there remains one constant, Tomlin. It’s going to get worse unless they clean house with this staff from Tomlin on down.

"All this talent": This year, the talent is gone. We have maybe six players on defense who could start for another team. We have three defensive first round picks that have been wasted - Burns, Dupree, Jarvis Jones and another that is out of football due to injury. The offense without Bell has no serious running game and Ben is on a downhill slide. Offensive line is suspect and we have two solid receivers but so does everyone else.

That’s crazy! This team is loaded with talent. These guys especially on defense were productive players in college. They didn’t just all of a sudden start to suck. No this is bigger than that and it falls squarely on the coaches especially on defense. The defensive scheme is a total joke with two DL and rushing only 3. They have so many sub packages and different looks, these players look and are confused. No this falls on Coach Cool Shades and his sidekick Butler who have totally ****** this defense up.
Offense is loaded but play calling stinks. And Ben and AB are not in sync and he’s forcing ball to AB at times when he shouldn’t.

A change in ownership. Tomlin ain't goin anywhere.

It's always a main topic around here, but unfortunately the results will always be the same. Mike Tomlin isn't in any danger now, nor will he be regardless of the outcome of this season. The front office has done a piss poor job addressing the defense as well. Coaching only gets you so far when the talent is lacking. The talent on that side of the ball on this team is pathetic.

I only got three. Heyward, Tuitt, and Watt.

Agree.

OL is aging out when you think about it.

Wonder how all those fans that have been on the season ticket waiting list for like 15 years feel. This product is **** and when my turn at the ticket window came up I'd be like nah, **** this.

I bet the waiting line moves a lot quicker these days.

We are a 7-9 team with a coach that can talk in riddles and rhymes. But that's cool, isn't it?
