Bell plans on reporting during the bye week. Week 7

https://Invalid Link - Check SN Home Page/2018/10/fowler-leveon-bell-will-report-during-bye-week/

Transition tag in '19. Either 11mil or 17mil, depending on what counts as 120% of his salary this season. Basically another chance to re-sign him, but allowed to negotiate a deal with other teams.

I’d take a 3rd and conditional 2nd if he is on the new teams roster June 1st. Better than a comp pick.

Yeah, they could draft a guy like Edmunds with that third round pick...oh wait, never mind.

Trade his sorry ***. If he won't take the trade, I activate him two games later, bench him and play him on STs the rest of the year. He burned his bridges there is no open arms here.

Very odd timing! Soon as it’s reported the team is actively pursuing trade partners.
Even stranger LevBell saying to Jeremy Fowler he still hopes to work out long term deal with Steelers after the season and that he wants to retire a Steeler! WHAT THE **** IS THAT?

That's his agent writing a script. Behind this Me'Veon debacle is his agent who will be the eventual ruination of the man's career.

Let us not blame all on his agent. Bell isn't exactly boiling over with intelligence.

Put his lying @ss on kick coverage. He’s not welcome. I hope he’s doing this to be traded.

"Bench him" or "put him on kick coverage" - those are things a coaching staff would do if the coaching staff was a bunch of 5 year olds. He will upgrade the running game and increase our chances of winning, therefore they will play him.

His agent may have heard whispers that if he reports soon, certain teams would be interested in trading for him. The more interest, the more value the Steelers
can receive. The transition tag is key, a team is not necessarily getting a rental. They can transition tag and match an offer sheet.

3 contending teams have zero running game, Miami, Packers and Philly. Packers have 2 first round picks and Philly has 2 second round picks.

Washington might have interest because their owner likes the splash moves. Oakland, Jets, Colts could have interest if they would match the transition tag. Oakland has two first round picks, wouldn't
trade their own, but might trade the one from Chicago, which doesn't look to be a high one at this point.

At this point, if the Steelers want to win Super Bowls they need a top five defense. You can get that with a new DC, extra picks and cap space for a couple free agent signings.

If BELL comes back and it turns to his actual play, if TOMLIN is head coach, Bell will be just another talent to hide cool shades ineptitude.

I'd keep him on the inactive list for 2 weeks so his cap number drops and then the transition tag dollar value will drop for next year since the Steelers said they were going to transition tag. him.

if he signs before the trade deadline, as he has said he intends to show up during the bye week, then we have a week to work a trade. and he doesn't have any ******* say so in it.
we've said we will trade him for a pick and a player, so that has to be considered.

Buffalo is my first destination for him. Since he ****** us, I'd want to **** his career. Going to Buffalo would ensure he never has any success again, unless traded out of Buffalo. But what could Buffalo offer? Shaq Lawson and a pick. Throw in McCoy, since they'd not need his "services" any longer.
To Buffalo:
  • Bell, Durpee, 6th round pick

To Pittsburgh:
  • Shaq Lawson, McCoy and a 3rd round pick

Bell likes the Miami weather. The Fish have Drake, but he's not in the same talent group as Bell.
To Miami:
  • Bell, 6th round pick

To Pittsburgh:
  • Akeem Spence, contingent 3rd or 2nd round pick

Rumors have the Eagles VP really intrigued about adding Bell. Ajayi has bad knees and the combination of Sproles, Clement and Smallwood just isn't going to get it done. How badly would they want him? Well, I'd start off asking ...
To Philly:
  • Bell

To Pittsburgh:
  • Fletcher Cox

If they were actively shopping him before, I'd expect him to be moved now with a show-up date being reported. The Steelers should be able to work with a team willing to move forward now with a trade, if they are serious to acquire him.

I doubt they'd want to make it public, as its against the rules to trade someone unsigned.

Please make it happen, please !

I'm a sure a deal can be worked out behind the scenes and then when he signs, the trigger is pulled. GMs have to talk almost everyday.

And if there's a trade the trading team can also transition tag him and match another teams offer, which makes the suggestion that Bell is only a one season rental a myth. No reason not to get full trade value for him in a trade scenario.

AGREE but still reliant on his signature prior to trade deadline.

A lot of teams have massive amounts of cap space in 2019, so many teams would have the ability to match an offer sheet.
Texans are one of them and could use some help for Watson.

Why would anyone on this team welcome Bell back. Tomlin should stand up and say no way he plays. Tomlin has no backbone and if I was a player on this team I would not want Bell's locker anywhere near me. This will just add more of the soap opera under Tomlin

Didn't you get the memo? According to some homers Bell will save our season!

He will play NT,WR,RB,CB,G, and FS.

And then he will race to the sideline and be the defense coordinator and head coach.

I look to the sky and await the miracle on North Shore Drive.

Halle -*******-lujah

What would it take for you to move him to the Pats. I would do it for their 1st which is really almost a second. I wouldn't take a 2.

the pats?

wut the hell lulz

I wouldn't trade him to them....

Wow. I just read the article. Surprised the Steelers told him they would exercise the transition tag on him in 2019. I hope they stick to their guns if they can't get something decent for him now.
