I thought he did some ****** up **** and deserved to go prison. I also thought he paid his debt to society. I also sympathized with fans on this board who didnt want him on the team no matter what.. im not a dog owner never really liked dogs. But sympathized with people like Ark who didnt want him and stopped watching for the time he was here..

Ben wasn't convicted of anything, the other was convicted of killing innocent animals.

It is said you can tell a lot about a man with his love for animals, or lack of.

I said from from the beginning i took issue with Ben decision making. I never said he raped anyone. After the first time why put yourself in a position to be lied on again.. then said im glad he grew up.. also said that was when i adopted the attitude to stop worrying about these guys off the field. Nah he didnt because when he joined the steelers my kids were way older didnt have to explain anything to them. Thanks for your concern lol..

No one is holding ben to anything..all i said was after that incident i stopped putting my emotional investment into these guys off field antics..they have zero affect on my life so why am I worrying about it. Yes i did..stress enough with wins and losses.. decided off the field issues is too much. I would say i wish he wouldnt plead his case on social media. Its not helping his cause. Stick to your guns if thats what you are seeking but stay off social media about it..negotiate at the table

So if Le'Veon gets a $17m/yr contract, then yes that's a win for him and congrats to him, should set his family up forever, if they aren't already. But having a RB taking up that much cap, when no other teams are even close to that, put as at a competitive disadvantage in that regard since we have less remaining to spread around. On top of that, we have a franchise QB and the best WR in the game also taking a ton of cap, then there's REALLY not a lot to spread around. So.. Le'Veon making $17m may be great for him and great for RB's, but it's not great for the Steelers. And the only piece of any of this that truly matters to me is the Steelers. So if it ain't good for them, it ain't good for me.

I might change my mind about his contract if I thought:
1) We could rely on him to stay on the field
2) He valued winning over his own personal needs
3) He set a good example for other players with his mentality and approach to winning

But 1) we can't - he is injured and suspended often. 2) clearly his contract demands come before the needs of the team. 3) because of #2, younger players should not be looking to him as an example if they want to become team-oriented, winning-oriented players.

So.. I just can't justify it in my mind

They are regular people just like everyone else. They have issues just like everyone else. They **** up sometimes just like everyone else. For 3hrs they play the game i love for the team i love ..thats about the only connection we have.. i dont pretend otherwise

The point I do have issue with is that while everyone does have issues in life, most deal with them without making their life worse in the process.

Character does matter, and the Steelers have been pretty good in the past of pursuing players that have it. The advent of social media is making it harder to hide their flaws, and it doesn't help when it's the players themselves that post it.

As far as Bell goes, the Steelers can't afford him, so he will move on, and so will our team without him.

I honestly feel his chance at a ring will diminish wherever he ends up, but it's apparent that isn't his priority.
