As expected, Pittsburgh Steelers running back*Le’Veon Bell*will not be at the team’s organized activities which start Tuesday, May 21, 2018. With Bell’s long-term deal with Pittsburgh still remaining in question on if and/or when it will get done, the 6th year running back has been franchise tagged for the second year in a row. Skipping […]

No surprise. Was hoping he'd show good faith and at least be at the facility. But no contract, no Bell

I don't want this guy on the team at any price, certainly not for the franchise tag.

Well he will be on the team. It will be his final season. Seems he will do the same as last year. It worked well.

Regular season Game 4-6 "game shape"

Salute the nation

Let's hope he stay in shape and avoids injury. Those out of shape are more prone to be injured.

With*the Steelers applying the franchise tag to Bell, he’ll earn $14.5 million this upcoming season, yet Bell has taken to social media several times already this year reiterating that he wants closer to $17 million.

Well, he was healthy all last year, so I hope that continues. I'm on the other side of the coin in this whole preseason participation. I don't want any of my stars playing in the preseason.

Last summer, all of our pro bowlers that didn't play OL played 1 series in 4 games. That was it. He's not missing much, and he needs to come back better conditioned than last year, since it's a contract year.

I really like our backup situation now. I fully believe Connors and Samuels can be the 1/2 punch this team needs to succeed if Bell goes down.

This shouldn't even be news at this point. Breaking news: he won't be at training camp either.

I've been saying all along this will be Mike Wallace redux. The system is what it is so he is free to do that but it isn't what's best for the team. He won't be that good this year because he will show up late and play all year not to get hurt. Mark my words. Team would still be better off to try and trade him.

Hopefully our other guys at the RB position will get some work load during the regular season. Our rookie 5th rkund pick I would love to see him earn some major playing time especially in situational times in the game. If Bell is having a a slow start throw another guy out there. I am thinking/hoping our new OC bring a bit of change to our team.

Hunter Henry lost for the season torn ACL. In OTA's

It is his right to do this. I get this. But what dk we really need more. Bell or a better defense? Several teams have proved that a runn in ng back by committee approach works well as long as you have a good oline and a very good defense. We have 1. Lets get the other

If he gets injured off-contract, isnt that better for us than being injured after the tag is signed?

If he signs his little slap in the face chump change he will have that money is his no matter what. He could blow out both knees. It's just a lame excuse to **** off while everyone else is working as a unit. I don't see any way the Steelers will buckle to a guy who won't even show up. Sign your ****,show up and make a deal or not. This would certainly be his last season in black&gold with another year of wear on those tires who's biggest run from scrimmage was What? 27 yards.. Can't drop that helmet anymore either.

He works out, he doesn't sit around eating cheetos and watching porn like the rest of us. The trade off is this, if injury is what you are, really, worried about:

1. He signs, works out with the team and gets hurt. Steelers cap dinged for $14m+
2. He doesn't sign, gets hurt working out. Steelers pull the tag and have $14m more in cap space, right?

I'm not sure what the real problem is. everyone is harping on the longest run of 27 yards as if that defines the whole season. Bell is on the field, the D MUST take notice. They aren't going to sit back and say "oh, he won't be full strength until game 4".

I already provided an analysis, more than once, of those who were considered top 3 or 4 RB going into the season. The others attended OTA's and camp and there was no significant difference in the first 3 or 4 games, overall, between them and Bell.

"But Ark, the rookies were getting 4+ ypc". Yeah, do that for 3+ seasons touching the ball more than anyone on your team, other than the QB, then let me know.
