Steelers Stats Study: 3rd Down And Mason Rudolph

Dobbs, who actually faced 1st string defenses almost the whole preseason while other rookies were facing 2nd and 3rd string defenses, or grocery baggers?

Good point, he had the 1st string OL and our skill players. Dobbs had time, he just wasn't very good.

Dobbs will be CUT. And when he is, those who felt he was a waste of a 4th round draft pick will be proven correct.

The one thing you crave and live for...... pretty sad bro

Or it’s because no team keeps 4 QBs, or cuts a 3rd rounder or the veteran backup who knows the system.

And when Dobbs is IRed or traded for value, the people that shat on him will be PROVEN WRONG!!!!

Or even kept, there is a training camp on the horizon, let's see what transpires.

If Dobbs showed anything ( and he played enough in camp and the pre-season games ), the Steelers would not be picking another quarterback. What we saw was the worst rated passer in the pre-season among people who threw it over 20 times!

Like I and many others said, it was a waste of a draft pick.

You might want to fact check the no team keeps 4 QBs. It has happened before.

Nope, Coach's narrative must be proven right so that he may go on pounding his chest about his football wisdom

If you noticed the victory lap stuff is mostly aimed at the naysayers who say I'm wrong, but when hindsight says otherwise... :)

The ever year there something. Picking a long snapper that was cut? Terrible move. And picking Dobbs who just wasn't accurate enough to be a quarterback. Unwise. We could have found better in round four. I expect to be 2 for 2. Sure I'll miss when I question the Steelers moves, but more often than not I don't

Unless someone gets hurt or suspended, Dobbs' chances of making this team are slim.

This year, I questioned the pick of the Offensive Tackle in round three, who did not work out well at all and failed to look good on film in the MAC according to Mike Mayock. His football background is limited, and he's described in reports as lacking fire. If we only keep three tackles, this rookie might have to play. If we keep four Offensive Tackles, and Hawkins stays, it will limit things. I didn't care for the Hawkings pick either.

Meanwhile, despite trying to trade up to obtain an ILB, the Steelers drafted none.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So who on here Coach has ever thought Dobbs was our next franchise QB? Also who on here has thought that he could maybe turn into a serviceable back up....say like Jones has? SMH

There are others on this board who are right more often than not Coach, the reason we don't talk about them as we do you is because they don't write entire articles in 35 different threads that they started to let everyone know (also don't confuse that for me saying that I agree that you are right more often than not, because that's not a thing)

Your White Goodman "I'm better than you, and I know it" attitude and unwillingness to admit when your "opinion" has been wrong is why people are tired of you.

One sentence....It was Preseason football dork.

It’s the football with vanilla offenses and defenses. Cope has already educated you on this. Many times. You Just Keep Ignoring The Obvious.

Oh, it has happened before? 4 QBs on a team during the regular season? When? Name it. What was the circumstances? How many times in the past 25 years?

Coach....you are hilarious.

Oh yea, weren't we drafting a punter because Berry sucks? Looks like my metrics are the ones the Steelers go by...

He also didn't want a WR drafted high. Apparently Juju and Antonio is enough..

He’s moved on Cope.....it’s now an UDFA DB Trey Johnson vs 5th Rd S Allen. Plus the 3rd Tackle....calls him a bust before he even signs a contract......he doesn’t have metrics, just a life size cardboard cut out of himself to ask for answers.

Alex K from the Depot thinks the T has the best upside of anyone drafted. Not guaranteeing success, but with the proper motivation in that frame, the sky is the limit!

maybe that is where coach acquired his opinion
