How much was his health a suspect in game planning? Seems he missed some important games.

He was on Injured reserve the entire year one season. Yes he has missed a lot of time and has been injury prone.
can you name another negative besides injuries?
He can get burned in coverage a lot too.

Your offense was great last year but I think the defense just needs a little bit of improvement. If that happened you would be a championship team easy.
Dudnt he play 100 games in 9 seasons? That isnt bad. If he gets baited on the double move Id prefer he played SS.

I take him over Tomlin any day. Honestly other then the handling of Bryant, Tomlin was a dumpster fire last year.

honestly, i've always thought of mccarthy as the NFC version of tomlin. nah, we've already seen that song and dance...hell, we're still singin' and dancing it.
I feel if Mccarthy had the talent Tomlin had last year, he wins. How the **** did they not win a SB last year. What more do you need.

Also Shazier was one of those rare defensive players that made the players around him better. When Shazier was making plays, Williams was sacking QBs, Hilton was blitzing effectively, and the Secondary was getting stops. Shazier was the QB of this D and it was put together to take advantage of his rare athleticism. It's why we couldn't get the D working the rest of the year, because that piece was gone. Now everyone had to make up for Shazier's absence, and just couldn't, since he was the one who made everyone else better, not the other way around.
A new D was put in, and it wasn't as effective. Heyward makes our DL/LBs better. Shazier made everyone better. He was a special player with unique athleticism. If we're going to replace him in the draft, we have to do it with a LB and a Moneybacker.
