That's the spirit!:rolleyes-new:

Injury is a mild concern. He might miss 1-4 games a year, but he's an upgrade from Mitchell, and should be able to create more splash plays with out pass rush. And he should draw less flags. A player like this fits with the Win while Ben is still playing.

Example, last year the Steelers lead the NFL with 55 sacks ( With Tuitt hurt a lot ). Green Bay had 37 sacks, tied for 17th overall.

He “might” miss 1-4 games a year? What’s this based on? He might not miss any as well. Any player can miss 1-4 games.

Based on his history Ike.

Let's go back three years.

2015, Burnett plays 11 games
2016 Burnett plays 15 games
2017 Burnett plays 12 games.

Burnett has not played a full season since 2012. Evidence enough to suggest he will miss 1-4 games in 2018? I think so. Has your perception changed any after reading this?

Nope...

Lets go back three years...

2015 - 12
2016 - 14
2017 - 15

2015 - 12
2016 - 13
2017 - 12

2015 - 16
2016 - 13
2017 - 7

Those are Ben, Tuit and Gilbert numbers. FYI, Ben has only played a full season in 3 years of the last 10. So what's your point? As I said, anyone can miss 1-4 games.

Ben takes the last game of the season off at times. A few other players do. Burnett has not played a full season since 2012, He is more injury prone than most. That is my point, now tell me which Steeler starter has not played a full season since 2012, omitting the 16th game vs the Browns.

Ok genius......I use the most important player on the team....QB

2012 - 13 games
2015 - 11 games
2016 - 14 games

Now go away and contemplate.

Geez I said since 2012. Ben played 16 game in 2014. So you wrong again. RIF

I'm not against the deal, just pointing out that he hasn't played a full season since 2012. He's more injury prone than most. That is my point. You had it right early in the thread :)

How much was his health a suspect in game planning? Seems he missed some important games. -IKE

He missed 1 game twice since 2012. One game. What's the average player games played? On the Steelers no less. I'd give the team's current Iron Man, DeCastro as the closest to not miss a game. But he missed time with a ankle earlier in his career.

My question, was in reference to whether his absence impacted the defense's game plan and performance, not that he was injury prone. Only you would try to make a comparison like that. They won and loss with him in and out of the line up. Like when Haden went out with the arm injury, how did that impact our DB scheme?

Can you name which player(s) has played in all 16 games since 2012 on Pitt? Remember, its either or in your methodology.

EDIT: Haden had a leg injury,

Ike, did you figure out yet that Ben played a full season on 2014? Post #32 was a typical comment from you. Shooting first, aiming later. My point is he misses games...every year since 2012.

Moving the goal post to asking which players played in ALL games since 2012 has nothing to do with this thread! From 2013-2017, Burnett has missed 13 games. A bit injury prone.

Coach did you figure out that Ben actually played all 16 games in 2013 AND 2014? And why did you leave off 2012 in the games Burnett missed through 2017? I know, because he didn't miss any in 2012 so he missed 13 games in 6 years. Ben has missed 11 in that same amount of time (10 with last year's inactive).

Against you, your idiotic assumptions don't require an aim because the BS and agenda is larger than a barn. With apologies to Les Grossman, a nutless monkey could make better assumptions than you.

You are right my inquiry to you has nothing to do with the title of this post, but it DOES has everything to do with your ignorant assumption that Burnett is injury prone. You probably don't even know the injuries he suffered or how they occurred to make that statement. Remember, you think Pouncey is injury prone, when none of his injuries were non-contact. His biggest one was friendly fire (DeCastro). Hardly an injure prone example. But hey! you said we picked up two street free agents and have done worse because of keeping Pouncey cost us cap room.......brilliant observation!

Lets see....how many games have been missed by current starters...

Le'Veon has missed 18 in that time.

Bryant has missed 12 (not counting suspension year)

McDonald has missed 22 (and you are comfortable with him as a starter)

Gilbert has missed 23 (not counting the 4 for PEDs)

Shazier missed 13 in 3 years (before his injury last year)

Harrison before last year missed 11 games since 2012.

I guess all those guys are considered injury prone too. Why only speak of a player who hasn't played a down yet in a black and gold jersey?
