Steelers Expected to Franchise Tag Bell

Actually the actual words of Mike Timberline and Mr. Rooney is that when no longer want to play RB we will sign you as receiver. Now if Mike them really meant it is another story I'm just saying that what they put out there and I'm a very good listner so I know I was not just hearing things. There was only 5 people in the room.

I think IF that was said it probably was a joke. Not to be taken serious. You know Bell well huh lol. Tell him to get his *** to camp on time this year, stop being a distraction and sign a contract. And to hang up his rap career, he sucks. And they will just drain his money while he continues to suck.

Mike Tomlin and Mr. Rooney said "during the current negotiations" that if he wants to quit being a RB .....that they are willing to sign him as a WR exclusively? And you don't lie and were in the room when this was said? And you are close friends with Bell?

There are a lot of jobs that are physically demanding. If these guys were not playing football what kinda jobs would they have? There is no doubt these guys beat up their body, but a 10 yr career is long in football. Where else can you work for 10 years and be set for life?

The Steelers have a business to run and its just not smart to pay a RB 14-15 mil a year especially when you have big holes on defense. If Bell was the only "star" of the team then thats one thing, but you have ben, brown. and bell. The Steelers are close to a SB and if Bell wants to get there then he should take less money and allow the team to spend it on defense. Unfortunately bell seems to be more worried about him instead of the team.

I understand what you are saying but this is about more than just money. He is being the voice for all RBs. If really listen to his interviews he trying to pave the way for all the younger RBs coming in.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong point, is it? Did I say his only attributes? I said his best attributes. As a runner, he is just a guy behind a good offensive line. Nothing special about his running ability. To me, there are better runners out there.
