While Dan leans very much conservative, he is used quite frequently by liberal MSM outlets when it comes to political and security issues. He's pretty reliable.
Mind you, he did this show last night, BEFORE the release of the memo.
Whether you listen to this podcast first and then read the memo, or if you've already read the memo, your mind will be BLOWN!
He connects all the dots and shows how there are far too many coincidences.
Besides the FBI, CIA, and DOJ, it REALLY looks bad for Obama and Hillary.

It's a fascinating listen.
He actually uses CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, and every liberal media outlet you can think of to prove his point.
He wants you to realize he outrage is not biased, or that he's not blinded by his own tendencies.

I listened to Levin's show yesterday with Bongino. Great show. Bongino was a Secret Service agent and knows some things that help connect the dots.

Initial take on the memo. Damn... if this involved anybody other than government employees, people would go to jail.

The FISA court exists for very important reasons.

If one political party pays an operative to create evidence that frames their political opponent, and the people who are supposed to corroborate that evidence either A. Don’t care because partisan reasons. Or B. Their wife actually works for the operative! Then the purpose of having the court is negated.

This shouldn’t be a partisan issue. That’s straight up evil regardless of who is running things. And Republican or Democrat, that kind of unchecked power should scare the **** out of you.

Will have to study further, but again, damn. Just damn.

And before my liberal friends circle their wagons, you especially shouldn’t defend this kind of **** because it was people on your side who did it. Because look who has that power now...

Nobody should be cool with this. People should go to prison.

The DOJ-FBI Swamp

The FBI at this point is damaged goods. Probing for collusion since the 2016 Presidential election has produced nothing, and the Mueller investigation has gone far afield from the original purpose. The results, contrary to Adam Schiff and other bleating sheep on the mainstream media has been disappointing. What they have come up with so far as nothing more than process crimes of lying to the FBI. Gen. Flynns crimes were even called a “non-event” until FBI Agent Peter Strzok got involved.

Peter Strzok is the main feature of the entire probe. Changing words in an exoneration delivered by James Comey, being in charge of the investigations of Hillary Clinton, (not under Oath and not recorded in any way), Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills who blatantly lied over 200 times and were given immunity, Michael Flynn ( found to have lied to the FBI by entrapment) and overall the catalyst of the Russian probe into President Trump. It is amazing that he found any time for diddling his mistress and sending e mail to her.

It was James Comey when as U.S. Attorney James Comey closed the case of clemency for the Hasidic enclave called “New Square” that members had been accused of having four members convicted of fraud. Hillary visited the community and the case was summarily closed before the New York election that put her in place for her run for President as a public figure who have never lived in the state that made her a Senator.

All of this and more has come out in bits and pieces because the DOJ IG has made it available, none of this information came willing from the DOJ or the FBI. It appears that those at the higher echelons consider themselves above the maw, and that the only oversight they need it that which they place upon themselves. They seem to forget that they work for the American people, and the integrity of the rank and file members of the DOJ and the FBI have suffered because of the lies, innuendos, and outright fabrications of the Obama-Hillary sycophants at the top

It is funny. Dems keep pointing out that this person or that person involved in the investigation is Republican, as if to suggest that person surely couldn't or wouldn't be corrupted to be involved in anything nefarious. It is the definition of a straw man. That anyone would defend the FBI and DOJ is almost as scary as the actors involved doing what they did. Proof positive that few people love this nation anymore.

I assure you, this is worth the read. Regarding the memo, but a larger point of view, written by someone I know.

I've been hearing for months now that Donald Trump is some sort of tyrant in waiting. While I think his personality is brusque, and he possesses an unsavory and insatiable need to be liked, Donald Trump is a mere mortal and small in comparison to the Constitution and our Republic that was designed to thwart against tyrannical ambitions. My advice to those who were triggered by his election and were convinced that the apocalypse was upon us, was that we have a constitution and a form of government that prevents any one individual from arbitrarily and randomly imposing his will. But, neither the Republic nor the constitution is really of significance to the devout leftist.

We continue to hear that Trump is a wannabe Fascist. Some have suggested that what he is doing now, is comparable to Germany in the 1930's. Yet, we have seen him stymied by other branches of government. His own Republican-controlled Congress could not repeal Obama care. The court blocked his immigration policies. Heck, his own party has opposed him. And, the media has been a constant source of criticism and consternation. That's hardly the stuff of tyranny. Instead, the more apt comparison is the comparison between the American left and it's political predecessors. For the politically observant, the larger threat stems from the left.

Admittedly, this is a very cheesy, bad, pop culture comparison. Remember the movie Ghost? Remember the guy Carl? The nice guy, best friend, who offered the Demi Moore character comfort and consolation amidst her loss? Remember the shock to learn that he was indeed the perp, conspirator of the murder. Such a nice guy?!. He simply, but effectively charaded as much, until such point he got what he wanted. That's exactly whats going on here. Let me explain:

The founders warned against the various forms of tyranny. Largely, because they still had the bruised impression of King Georges fingerprints around their collective necks. Consequently, the constitution was thereby set up to act as a circuit breaker against such monarchical ambitions. As I mentioned in previous rants, the separation of powers, federalism, elections, the bill of rights, all act as a check against any form of tyranny.

However, there is one form of tyranny that our democracy is vulnerable to and this dark chapter is an example of it - single-party rule. And this is the essential difference of the left and the right. The American left is expansive in culture and education, etc. The American left is defined by the singular notion. And they are charading as a friendly and kind while ultimately seeking one-party rule over all controls and institutions. That's the singular evident trait in all things they do from college campuses to Hollywood, the Grammys, and everything in between. If you do not think like they do, they look to squelch your voice from the dialogue - shame, humiliation, threaten your very sustenance. The left is collective by nature. That's why they group people into a physically defined category by race, sex, gender. As I have remarked, rather consistently, the left never breaks rank. Never. No matter the crime, no matter the leader. They are bound by a 'semi-military' like discipline. This is why, throughout history, whether now or previously, the left has been able to administer withering criticism at opponents while neglecting members of it's own ranks who have committed the same crime. And that's precisely where we are. The very ethos of the left is on display for the world to see in this chapter - single party rule into the dept of justice, FBI, the complicity of the press, the widespread shaming,etc.

Notice, even your friends who lean left and how they are psychologically and socially predisposed not to criticize Obama for deep and troubling misuse of the IRS, DoJ, but so inclined to pounce on Trump for all things superficial - his speech, his weight, his hair. Do you see the difference? The left binds it's members. Look at the reversal of Schiff in the article below.

As Chambers [Whitaker] said about Leftism "it is not a form of government, but a political party seeking a host government." And that's exactly what the Obama administration was trying to usher in, all the while making you feel like you felt about the friendly guy in Ghost:) Veils off, dude.

Obama and the FISA Court
Both of their reputations cannot survive the collusion investigation.

Today the American people are finally able to see the memo from the majority staff of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence alleging abuse of government surveillance powers during the last presidential campaign. Many will be appalled that, at least according to the memo, on October 21, 2016 the Department of Justice and the FBI obtained a court order authorizing electronic surveillance on a Trump campaign volunteer without telling the court that Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee had paid for at least some of the research presented.

The memo further states that according to the head of the FBI’s counterintelligence division, corroboration of the research was in its “infancy” at the time the government requested and received approval for this surveillance. Is it that easy to spy on the party out of power?

The Democrats on the Intelligence committee seem eager to release their own memo so perhaps we’ll learn more, but based on today’s release it appears either that the Obama administration engaged in historic abuse or that the FISA court cannot be trusted to protect our liberties, or perhaps both.

This is just the beginning. Obama appointed Inspector General Michael Horowitz is batting clean up.

All of this reaction has been anticipated and planned for.

The Dems and MSM play these cards because they have worked so well for them in the past, unfortunately for them, this is the only hand that they hold.
 
This is only the tip of the iceberg of what is to come. The Lefty strategy of deflecting and lying won't hold up very long.

Hey you stupid hippies, the memo describes a fascist police state action. The leftists are not anchored to any first principles, so their positions are never consistent, even if they actually understood anything.

So it played out as expected... the FBI cut corners to get to spy on Trumps campaign... they obviously targeted him for political purposes, there is no top secret material outside of classified testamony that's classified for the sake of being classified... the big objection is that tge truth makes the FBI look bad.... and the final complaint that stuff is taken out of context os dimmed by no one wanting to release that testimony in full... even the dems countermemo was just supposedly them saying things were being misrepresented without explaining how or releasing new stuff.... it was a clear cut tool to spin something against this memo
 
Not to be out done but now the democrats want their memo published. I didn't know they even had a memo.
