The memo

I mean its obvious the dems counter is that we don't have the full story and everything that disproves whatever is in there is so classified that we cannot have it...

Lets face it, whatever is in there is explosive enough that the FBI begged the White House not to release it...

The minimum it could be is showing the FBI to be the arrogant political gloryhounding org rushing in to situations and embelishing stuff to get warrents or control that every Hollywood picture since die hard has painted them as... anything above that and im not sure the repubs have the balls to release....

and I'm sure he would think that - even if it destroys one party.
if someone is being impartial, completely dismantling one political party is pretty bad. necessary, yes. but overall, pretty ******* bad.

Its more the risk that you neuter the. Country's premeir law enforcement organization by destroying public trust in them... but they all have needed reigned in for decades now so whatever...

In my opinion, I think there has been funny stuff going on in the FBI, CIA and DOJ since the 1950's. And it's never truly been "cleaned up". To me all three groups have an arrogance of "we are perfect and do no wrong" and an "ends justifies the means".

All three groups seem overly political to me and enforce/don't enforce select crimes based on kissing up the Executive Branch of government and the current President so they keep their cushy jobs and positions of power.

Maybe a good leak and exposure would do them some good. Pull the curtain back a bit.

As far as "confidence" from the public, that's a load of bullshit in my opinion. In order to be effective you need follow the LAW, not the court of public opinion. The mere fact it could be the opposite tells me things are amiss.

It's not like there isn't pages and pages of FBI wrongdoings when you search "Recent FBI prosecution failures". From the Bundy Ranch to Ted Steven's corruption case to the upcoming re-trial of Menendez to the Clinton E-mail, et. al, they often exhibit a "bully attitude" in prosecutions and mostly seem to generate "lying under oath" as a main leverage point.

The truth is I DON'T trust the DOJ, FBI and CIA right now. And for many Americans that have been following along closely over the past 5-10 years, I think I'm not alone.

Release the memo and let's see what it says. I'm certainly curious.

If it made Trump look bad and proved Russia collusion the Dems would be tripping over each other to get it out.

They postponed sentencing on Flynn, kinda odd isn't it? I bet some of the evidence obtained on him was done illegally.

If they got the warrant illegally, any evidence they have gotten due to that warrant would have to be thrown out in court - at least in the normal courts. Not sure what they do in cases like this.

When there is bad news, or news that would shock people, and/or financial markets, delivery late on a Friday gives the entire weekend to react, discuss and calm all.

Yeah, seems like a habit that the previous administration perfected into an art form.

According to CNN, FBI Director Christopher Wray is threatening to resign if the memo is released. I think he would be a significant loss for this administration. Not sure if it will happen, but this memo better be worth it. I just have this feeling that if it is released, after all the hype that this is bigger than Watergate blah blah, it is going to be anti-climactic, probably not say a whole lot. If that is the case, Republicans are in deep **** come 2018.

**** that guy. If he's not for transparency then he is part of the problem. Put Giuliani in charge of the FBI.

Seems a whole lot of people suddenly have a problem with transparency and national security, when it doesn't seem to bother them that illegal aliens are flowing across the border by the millions.

Yeah I've been following this too. Best guess is you're right, Mueller has the proof that the FISA warrant was obtained illegally and knows his case will get thrown out of court. And the silence of the fake news slimes furthers the point. It's a postponement of 90 days to May 1, 2018.

Maybe this memo is a distraction. I mean, Devin Nunes is a partisan, Mueller is not seen as same.

The thing is most of the FBI hierarchy careers are Washington born and bred, and they protect their own fiercely.. All the excuses are just lame spin... if the FBI is worried about info collection procedures going public, wtf cares... tgey are probably doing something terrible that common folk will get mad about... if tgere is more to the story, then the American public deserves to know it...
Too much is classified as it is... its bullshit... 99% of tge government and law enforcement actions should be made public within no more than a decade at least...

Delayed sentencing 90 days? For what? I have to head in to work for a bit today, but I will research when I get back. Something isn't right about that.

According to CNN, Flynn's attorneys asked for the delay. Doesn't say why, other than they aren't ready to schedule a sentencing hearing.
