Called it! The Cheats are maybe the most hated team in sports... ever.

Oh, and... it was a catch.

.

Same type play for the *pat was called a CATCH -- there is a video on Facebook that shows all the ways the *pats were given games .. It is on my page if you are my friend -- I am going to try to find a link to post here .

its too late apology that we are so used to we would of had the Titans in the div.

I was convinced the moment the play happened and I am convinced now that play decided the Super Bowl. Homefield throughout and a first-round matchup with the Titans makes a HUGE difference in the playoffs.

A little too late for this rule now.
Rog caved into the backlash, which is a good thing.

But that really turned our Steelers hearts sour after

Looks like he was worried about getting hit by the safety, that's why he's not looking at the ball.
....Rigged sounds better though.

Hit? They can't hit you anymore. He gets creamed and it's 15 yards for that defenseless receiver bs.Dude is looking right at it. Nobody was about to hit him. Doesn't matter anyway. Just crown the pats****** with no.6 and be done with it. Hell they will get no.7 next year as well.

The NFL Front Office can clarify it as a catch as well as the other ones all day. But as long as that replay booth is in operation and they "can't see evidence to over turn the challenge" or make the correct call with more than 4 HD camera angles on the field and in the sky OR some Refs that seems to be influencing the game with their questionable calls and non calls will still make the game unbearable to watch. (See NBA Refs during the Playoffs)

Agreed

Sometimes it's so simple you can't even see it...
This year the big story has been the lack of patriotism because of players kneeling during the anthem and that's driving ratings down.

Now you have "The Patriots" and (an American) Eagle(s) in the Superbowl.

And yes. They believe we're THAT ******* stupid.

Earlier this week I was listening to the local sports talk show down here in the ATL and they were discussing the same issue of "what is a catch and what's not a catch". They played an audio clip from the Commish at a Press Conference talking about looking at the catch rule and then they went all in on him. The hosts and Falcons fans had almost the same fiery comments about the Rules, Refs, and the blown opportunities they could've, would've, should've had this season. I'm sure this issue is only going to get bigger once the League starts clarify what is accepted as a catch.

Just because the fans and talk show host are screaming don't mean **** to the NFL. The competition committee looked at this rule not to long ago and nothing came about. The league has to be very careful with this rule because currently it is a BIG way to change or alter a game outcome. They currently use other main methods but clearly showed you last second outcome can be altered by JUST THIS RULE. You might get to see a change but that will just be a small tweek, just enough to make you think there is competence in the NFL as they need to give you a glimmer of hope. Don't be fooled as with as much money as involved there is NO chance that the game will be totally left to chance and fair play. Some of you think you have the GOAT QB about to play in the lwoB repuS, don't kid yourself as what you've really got is a league favored "moma's" boy who wouldn't be near here had the NFL played legitamite fair games through out his career. Point being is this **** has been going on for a hell of a lot longer than many here would care to admit.

Salute the nation

Well alrighty now...another "what is a catch and what is not a catch" moment in the SB. And it happen to a Team that has seem to be on the favorable side of a few no catch calls this season. Yeah this rule is definitely going to get address once Patriot's Owner Robert Kraft makes a stink about it during the off season.

Based on whatever criteria the officials review and awarding the TD, the James catch was a TD considering the actions were nearly identical including the position player! The only difference during the officials "speech" was the receiver going to the ground as a "runner".
Hmm, James completes a catch, made his "football move" outstretches and breaks the plane of the goal line goes to the ground but he wasn't at any time a runner?
But, James "didn't survive the ground" but the Philadelphia TE did?
FAK the rigged NFL, the Cheats should have played the Jags.

That is just it, if a player catches the ball two feet down then leaps across the goal line. To extend the play. That should be a catch every time.
