The concern about cap Hell in three years when Ben is gone is laughable. Business is business, players earn the right to negotiate their contracts with their play on the field during their rookie contracts. Teams make out like bandits now with the rookie cap, no more Sam Bradford's and the like bankrupting teams by being paid before they do ****. LeVeon Bell is the best all around RB in the history of the team. Numbers don't lie, his numbers at 25 are ridiculous. I get the venom for his dumb *** being suspended for smoking weed.
All this talk like the Steelers can just get rid of him and plug a guy in is a joke. He's what makes the offense go. He's not just some average dump off pass RB, he can line up and run routes like a star WR. While I'm a Steelers fan first and foremost, teams cut ties with players as soon as they aren't up to standards and their contracts aren't guaranteed. The window to win a SB is closing fast, we have a couple years tops. They will get it done, then somebody has to do something about the defense; Here are his all time team records:
