Le’Veon Bell and the Steelers appear to be coming to a crossroads. That crossroad will make a significant turn in the right direction should the Steelers and Bell be able to come to an agreement on a multi-year contract in the near future. If they aren’t able to do so, then things could hit a […]

Trading him is a perfectly viable option. Boom - cap hit gone.

Why is he playing in the ******* pro bowl when he should be figuring out what he needs to do in order to average more yards per carry and help the team win when it matters?

Why? Because he's a diva ***** who needs individual accolades since he's not enough of a team player to have team accolades.

Have to stop yinz there, as they should just cancel the pro bowl because apparently everyone should be off improving their game.

is Bell a diva? sure

but I think is average was effected by the holdout last off-season.

Don't hold out this off-season and I think he will be just fine.

It needs to be a cap friendly to the TEAM deal. If we keep pushing money forward we will be in CAP hell similare to what we had a few years ago, does anyone Remeber that ordeal????? Stuck with ****** players and couldn't sign anyone. LIMBO

I'm for getting the deal done but must be a TEAM first approach yet LeVeon's thought are LeVeon first approach. Me Me now, **** the team later approach that is. Oh one more thing,.........if he retires then more power to the fuckmememememe *****.

I don't get it. Keeping Bell is akin to a welfare couple spending thousands of dollars on a speed boat.

Oh don't worry, they can finance it long term, refinance their car and move some grocery money around. WTF ?

huh? Can't the same be said for every Steeler attending the Pro Bowl? It's a free trip to be among their peers. I don't get the venom for him going. Maybe he should just go home, smoke more weed and get busted again. That would really please the masses here. He's had a great season and should be rewarded for it. His work for 2018 starts on Monday.

Here's my issue, he skipped all training camp, which hurt his game and the team early on because he didn't want to get hurt and technically he wasn't under contract, and that's totally understandable, but now he's playing in a totally meaningless game while not under contract. Why play this game, but not show up for camp and your team? What if he tears his knee up in this game?

Would take a signed contract for that.............................................

The concern about cap Hell in three years when Ben is gone is laughable. Business is business, players earn the right to negotiate their contracts with their play on the field during their rookie contracts. Teams make out like bandits now with the rookie cap, no more Sam Bradford's and the like bankrupting teams by being paid before they do ****. LeVeon Bell is the best all around RB in the history of the team. Numbers don't lie, his numbers at 25 are ridiculous. I get the venom for his dumb *** being suspended for smoking weed.

All this talk like the Steelers can just get rid of him and plug a guy in is a joke. He's what makes the offense go. He's not just some average dump off pass RB, he can line up and run routes like a star WR. While I'm a Steelers fan first and foremost, teams cut ties with players as soon as they aren't up to standards and their contracts aren't guaranteed. The window to win a SB is closing fast, we have a couple years tops. They will get it done, then somebody has to do something about the defense; Here are his all time team records:

Franchise records
Pittsburgh Steelers career record for rushing yards per game: 86.3
Pittsburgh Steelers career record for receptions by a running back: 307
Pittsburgh Steelers career record for receiving yards by a running back: 2,632
Pittsburgh Steelers single-season record for receptions by a running back: 83
Pittsburgh Steelers single-season record for receiving yards by a running back: 854
Pittsburgh Steelers single-season record for scrimmage yards: 2,215
Pittsburgh Steelers single-season record for scrimmage yards by a rookie: 1,259
Pittsburgh Steelers single-game record for rushing yards: 236
Pittsburgh Steelers single-game record for rushing yards in a postseason contest: 170

You can only pay for what the player can do. Not what he has done. That is all I can say about it.

Wouldn’t at all be surprised if it came from the urging of Tomlin. Come on man, I’m coaching this game and Ben and the guys will all be there. You’ll have fun.

I'd much rather save the money that would be spent on Bell and use it for defensive players like Zach Brown and a safety to step in for Mitchell.
Drafting a good RB to make an immediate impact is easier than drafting a defensive player to make an immediate impact.
Our offense would be good even without Bell, our defense as it is right now will never win a SB.
They should use the majority of resources on fixing the defense, not spend 14-16mil a year on RB.. a very good one but how many weapons do we need on offense.

Trading Bell? BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE, Please put together a sign and trade for Barkley and save 10-13 million in cap space.

How is ******* Tomless coaching the Pro Bowl?

It used to be the coaches who lost the AFCC game. Now they just pick any ******* yahoo off the street?
I mean, I know the game is a ******* joke so technically Tomless is perfecf for it. But still aren't ACTUAL coaches pissed that they got passed over?

I just read that Bell has asked Butler to play Safety in the Pro Bowl....this is probably his way of getting more money...

Seriously, can't they give him a contract that is back loaded so his average is high, but can release him at the end with a lesser hit. Of course his signing bonus/guaranteed money will be the tough part...

Since they moved the Pro Bowl to the week Before the Super Bowl, they eliminated the extra week necessary for the coaches to prepare. So now they take 2 of the four losing coaches from divisional weekend. Sean Payton is coaching the NFC.

What if he tears his knee up in this game?
Then the team's decision will have been made for them: draft a RB, bye-bye Bell.

Yes, he turned down a great offer from them last year (against his agent's advice), so I'm SURE he'd accept a back loaded contract.

I really can't get too worked up about whether or not they sign Bell. No matter how much talent they assemble on the most, they'll still have a coach who is unable to take advantage of it.

I think next year he should open the first game of the season with an on-side kick.

Well stated. How much more could they need.

Damn it man......finally someone that makes sense.

The hell with that greedy *** superstar, let him go wherever he damn well pleases, as long as we can get even half of what he thinks he's worth...we'll be golden.

You got it Coach, I'd give this youngin' a hat next to Conner next year and take my chances on savin' a whole buncha cash ifin it was my choice....in a heartbeat.

And this kid is a game breaker, something that Toke can't say. He only had 3 runs over 20 yards and 5 catches over 20 while his yds per carry was the lowest in 4 years as well as his yds per catch being the lowest in 4 years. Not exactly promising,

Now we wanna sign him to big money bettin' on the come ? My Daddy would kick my *** for an idea like that,

Actually, no it does not make sense at all - if Barkley is such a great option compared to Bell, why would any team trade the opportunity to draft Barkley for Bell?
