Leveon Bell

If Bell isn't in a Steelers jersey next year I doubt Ben sticks around either.
As for now I can see a different beast coming off 2 solid weeks of rest. I'm calling it now, Bell goes for 150+ every game from here on out, and wins us a superbowl. Like it or not he is that kind of difference making talent, and he knows it.

I personally think he will be putting up big numbers as a WR. I think we continue doing what we have been for the last few months.

Dude is seriously a greedy piece of ****. He's getting paid 50% more than the next highest player at his position this year and would get $2 million more than that next year under the tag. The Steelers offered him over $12 million per year for 4 or 5 years (whatever it was) that would have made his average 50% higher than the next player at his position.

Let the ****** sit out. He would still belong to the Steelers when he comes back because we know he won't retire. The dude is all about the money and he won't get any if he retires.

Seriously can't wait to cut his *** when Ben retires and we start rebuilding the O.

With ratings dropping 10% annually, it makes sense to get your money while you can.

The days of saying that is over. Players care about money and themselves over anything else. They want to win, sure but it is definitely not top priority. Bell wants the money and he’s made it clear multiple times. Unfortunately, this will be his last year more than likely, run his *** into the ground for the benefit of the team.

Agreed.

The players are in it for the money. Sucks as a fan, but that's the reality

please don't ask him closed ended questions related to salary & contract pitt reporters in March do whatever but until then please STFU

Le’Veon Bell may retire if he is forced to play on a franchise tag again next season

As reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers star running back Le’Veon Bell has claimed that he would legitimately consider retirement if he is forced to play on a franchise tag once again next season as he was this season. Le'Veon Bell told @ESPN he might sit out 2018 or retire if franchise tagged again […]

Bring home a Lombardi trophy Lev then maybe a conversation more to your liking can take place?

Bell never struck me as very smart.

And all his averages of tars don't mean ****.....what exactly has he done in the playoffs? Has he won a SB?

I'd trade his *** after the season. I'd offer him up to the Giants, get their 2nd, and draft Barkley.

.

LOL. There is ZERO chance that Bell leaves 15 million on the table. He is only 26 next season.

ZERO chance.

The timing is wrong but not what he is saying..pay him and get all you can Bell..your career can end at any time. See Shazier..

That's right. Look at what he does for this team. His workload and all that. The guy should ask for it cause he deserves it, in the context of NFL salaries.

Let him sit. As far as I'm concerned he can spend all his time making rap records.

It doesn't change my strategy at all on his contract this season.

You franchise him, you have to. FA is before the draft. You need a chip to trade with. I then offer him the exact same contract and terms he got last year. It's a year later, $30M still guaranteed in the first 2 years, and he benefitted from kicking the can down the road by getting $12M last year.

I then negotiate a trade if he balks at the contract. I'd actually make the contract offer before the tag.

Then his decision is, get your agent to find a trading partner, or make $14M next year. If he doesn't want to make money, I'm fine with him sitting. He has no legacy, so he'll want to come back. Sitting a year in your prime is suicide and you lose out on being able to rack up stats during that year.

His HOF potential would drop dramatically.

I'm not sure the rules if someone refuses to sign a tag and sits out. I'd think the tag is still usable the next year under the previous year's terms. If that's the case, he has zero leverage.

I can't see him passing up $14 mill....that's a chunk of change. If he wants to hold out or retire so be it.

Doesn’t sound like he changed his tune if he CAN care less about what happens after the season…. To change his tune, he would NOT be able to care less.

Sorry but **** you, Bell! Tired of your stupid greedy bullshit. I hope he is gone as soon as possible and playing for Cleveland so we can take him out for good. Dude deserves nothing.

A superstar deserves nothing, but we should reward an over the hill ****** attitude linebacker for what he did years ago? I'm not saying that you stood on either side of the fence regarding Harrison, but I know there's many here who have this same attitude regarding Bell that are still crying about letting a 40 year old James Harrison go.

Alot here said he wouldn't be our second leading reciever again with Bryant back and all our weapons.. wrong. PAY THE MAN
