A Positive Spin

Would Davis be off the field or move up to a coverage LB or something to that effrect????

Davis is solid against the run. So you could move him up, and he could still be available for a double coverage if needed.

I like our chances with Haden,Brown, and McDonald back come playoffs.

I think the Steelers learned a few lessons and will be better for it.

Here

I think the team will be alright.
Definitely battle tested for sure.

That game last week was the season in a nutshell. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
The guys are in the playoffs which means we have a chance.

So buckle up and enjoy the ride

By all rights we should have won this game. I even said we would blow them out, and I still think we would have if Brown had not gotten hurt and Haden would have played.

If we meet them again we have to get Watt on Gronk, I think Watt is like 6-1 or 2 260lbs. he's the only on with the size and speed with Shazier out that could possibly interfere with him and Brady connecting. We did hold him to not a whole lot of catches/yardage the first half anyway, but we need to try something else next time.

I thought Hilton did ok in regards to Gronk coverage. I am curious how Sutton or Haden would do. But perhaps you scheme to double him and take him out of the game.

I doubt it. You must not pay attention.

I don't think your opinion matches Vance's track record.

I researched him when we traded for him, and his drop ratio is higher than Sweed's. He had a season when he had more drops than receptions. He had a 1 to 1 drop to catch ratio for the Steelers, going into his last game. He had one great game, and all of the sudden he's a great pass catcher?

Do some research here Elfie, I know you are capable of it from other forums...

Best positive spin I got is that the last year or two the Cheating Bastiges haven't exactly been blowing people out like they used to do.

This, DEBO entire game has one job....................RIDE gronk all game, line up right in front of him and ride his *** as much as possible then the DB (davis) takes over. Scheme him out of the game it doesn't have to be DEBO but maybe Bud Dupree or TJ Watt at times. No matter what get the Gronk to go ballistic and roidrage another one of those suspension type hits.

Ernie is getting a little older and his brain is functioning a little slower. PLUS the league teams are catching up by anti cheating strategy. Te3ams are keeping better track of play sheets,
mixing the radio up a little, definitely having two sets of game plans (1-first 1/2 and 1-2nd half), properly inflated balls............................the list could go on.

Hubbard played well, but there's a reason he's behind Gilbert. As well as we played offensively with Hubbard in, just imagine how well we could have played with our starting RT in.
Getting Haden back will be a solid improvement for our secondary, as well. Which would mean Sensabaugh pushed even further towards the end of the roster and we'll have Cam Sutton, who gained valuable experience these past couple weeks.

Oh please Supe!!! Your positive logic will most certainly be frowned upon here! Where's the doom and gloom, man?!?

Nice analysis, but Buddy Dupree is the better match up to slow Gronk off the line and then have Davis cover over the top - some how, some way, I'd like to see Big Play Willie Gay pick up Gronk AFTER the 5 yard bump and run and then cover Gronk underneath...

Just my two cents...
