The likelihood of beating the p*ts twice in a season is not an easy task and not likely if history tells the story, as not many teams have done it.
So we took an L on a blown call but should have won the game without our top play maker and our best secondary player.
We were also due for a loss, we would have had to finish the year on a 13-14 game win streak to hoist the Lombardi.. we have a new, fresh start now.

You never know.. p*ts could lose one of these next two games and we win out, we got home field again.
Honestly, we can beat that team anywhere, anytime.. the team knows this, the p*ts now know this.
If we can have Ben, Bell, and AB for one FULL damn game it'll be a different story.. I think we see it in the AFCC if we happen to meet.
To truly slay the beast, we have to beat them Foxborough, on their turf where NO ONE thinks we can win.

It's time to re-focus and finish the season out strong with 2 wins. Stay healthy and get healthy for playoffs.

P.s. No one ***** with the towel and gets away with it, fans or not.

As I stated in another thread, I don't think we meet the *pats again this year. I feel they will be outed in the divisional round, and we will go on to win the SB without playing them. And I'm perfectly OK with that.

Gilbert back. Good bye turnstile Hubbard. Run game and pass protection immediately improved.

Haden will almost assuredly play this week getting himself into shape for the post season. The reps he gets now will be huge come January.

It will come down to what the league wants.

Truly IF the Steelers go to Gillette and play them the game will hinge on whether the NFL wants the P*ts or the Steelers in the SB.

And that's the painful, horrible truth. Just accept it.

Someone is in need of a clue. Hubbard was very good and Tomlin praises him for it at his presser.

Oh yeah, Bryant started to show signs that’s he’s getting his head straight too.

Until they go down the road to play them again, I'll worry about them then. I'm more confident now that we can hang with NE and still think we beat them, no matter what the scoreboard says. There has to be some confidence there, even if they didn't get the W. Let's see where the chips falls and if they meet for Match-up 2.0 this year in the PO, beating them once is all the B&G needs to advance.

Of course the coach praised him, that's his job. Gilbert is a Pro Bowl caliber RT. Hubbard a career back up. Not a fan of Hubbard. He was the weak link on our OL while Gilbert was out with a hammy and suspended 4 games.

I think it could be argued that Villanueva has been the weak link on the OL all year.

We better worry about winning a game in the playoffs before worrying about the pats again. Jax, Balt, and KC (if they found their mojo again) will be very tough outs for us.

McDonald would have been huge in the Pats game, James is alright not trying to diss him, but Vance is a really great route runner and pretty damn quick.

Vance would have dropped that ball before he lunged for the EZ...

I agree with this, and Vance has been catching a few more passes lately. He would have been a HUGE addition in this game.

Losing AB was killer. He is clutch when you need a big play. Not having him weakened a potent passing attack. Would have loved to have him after JuJu's long run. Oh well. . .

Hubbard played well, but there's a reason he's behind Gilbert. As well as we played offensively with Hubbard in, just imagine how well we could have played with our starting RT in.
Getting Haden back will be a solid improvement for our secondary, as well. Which would mean Sensabaugh pushed even further towards the end of the roster and we'll have Cam Sutton, who gained valuable experience these past couple weeks.

I excited for the developement of Cam Sutton. I kinda would like to see him PRing??? Any thoughts on that?

Salute the nation

I expect a big donut hole from Vance McDonald. If he happens to be available on a game day and catches a couple passes great. Otgerwise he is a less reliable Deuce Staley. Bad enough when it is a reacurring injury. This guy finds a new one every game.
