My conspiracy theory goes like this. Some parts have been mentioned here already.

The Pats***** are busted for Spygate. Problem is they are Rog and the NFL front office's favorite team, being in a big east coast market and all. Rog destroys the evidence. Theory is that the cheating was so pervasive the the integrity of the game could be legitimately questioned and all the gambling on football is over. Rog needs to cover it up. Pats***** continue to be the league's favorite team and Rog has to hope that everyone thinks they are done cheating so he has to make sure they keep winning and winning SB's AFTER they are PRESUMED to not be cheating. Problem is Belicheat and Br*dy are still cheating to win and can't stop. Cue Deflategate. Br*dy gets suspended, Darth Hoodie gets nothing and no way does he not know what's going on. Once again, Rog has to make sure they keep winning after it is presumed they are no longer cheating (again). Most of the public outside of New England knows this is bullshit. Belicheat knows all the above and keeps skirting the rules to keep winning while knowing that the league will cover it up. Darth Hoodie KNOWS he has Rog and the league over a barrel because at this point if he is busted for everything he is doing, the league, Vega, and FF are ruined.

Is it really crazy to think a team that went indepth to cheat, to such levels that tapes were destroyed. Is still cheating?

That is like being surprised that a heroine addict was caught, and then went back to using after eyes weren't on him.

I mean if we had JUST spygate then I would say maybe they stopped.

But you had spygate,deflategate,headset gate,among many other allegations. At this point it might be crazy to think a habitual rule breaker will stop.

They were sloppy with spygate, not unreasonable to think they just cleaned it up again and tweaked it to not get caught again.

Unless you are one of those crazy ones who think a slap on the wrist is enough to reform a habitual anything.

I know you have been jailed three times Johnny but you don't steal this money I am leaving on the dresser, with my door unlocked.

I am going to trust yinz not to take it.

Crazy might just be the opposite to what some perceive.

if there is a conspiracy, the NFL will do whatever they can to ensure this matchup happens again in the playoffs.

In fairness to Omar, I think he's reacting to my over-reaching suspicion that the NFL "nudges" and manages quite a few games in order to work up a more profitable post-season and SB event each year.

I imagine quite a few people believe for whatever reason, the P*ts manage to get away with more than anyone else, either through outright cheating or some form of sith intimidation. But Omar is frustrated and from my perspective lashing out at my long-known proclivity for conspiracy tinkering.
