Browns trying to trade Haden

I don't think the brows pay 4 mil unless the deal is under four so if it's 3 the browns pay 1. If it's 6 the browns pay nothing. But they are paying ****. Sensabaugh signed a two year 2.6 deal with a 425k signing bonusand **** is at 1.8. anyone know if we release either one how much cap hit we still take? If we were to offer 6 or 7 a year we probably can minus a mil from that by cutting one of them. Sutton and Hilton is cheap. Gay is getting 2 mil per year in 17 so their would be more money. If they sign the deal my guess is one of those three gets cut. It's not the cap space they will worry about but the salary savings since we are under the cap by 9 mil. Tuitt may complicate things more than anything I think. You have to take the risk here. The upside is huge and the downside is money. Even if we cut one of those three and Hayden doesn't pan out we can always pick back up a corner that will replace one of them. It's not like we'd be cutting a solid starter to get him in here. Do the deal and roll the dice. I don't know how anyone isn't for the move with the crap we have at number two right now. It's Blake 2.0 right now.

I rather have Revis. But only a Revis who rededicated himself to his body and to the game. Ife everytyhing was equal,,, money contract etc.. Who would you pick? Haden never impressed me.

I don't think you move on from cockrell completely... one bad preseason shouldn't undo his previous play... especially with a scheme shift going on.... id rather move on from BPWG, who is older and less likely to rebound

Cockrell still hasn't impressed me. Haden is 28 vs an aged Revis and the steelers SB window is only so long. Must take the chance when it presents itself.

Haden isn't allowed to do much until 4pm when his release becomes official. All signs point to the Steelers signing him, though.

I'd imagine the Steelers give him a 1 year deal worth 5 million.

Just $5m?

As ark says.. Brady gonna pick apart any defense ,, big money or small money CB. I could understand if Haden was way beyond but hes not.

I'm definitely cutting Gay before I cut ****.

He's a lot better than any corner we have not named Artie. He's still probably better than Artie at this point too.

Browns are already paying him 4$mil people...keep that in mind. If he wants 8, we just have to pay him 4....

From what I understand they pay him 4 mil regardless...maybe I'm wrong. I think we can afford him regardless.

Get it done. He's an upgrade over Cockrell and we likely won't have to break the bank over him.

Confirmed, just read the same. Haden to Pittsburgh is looking more and more realistic. I trust a leak from Adam Schefter before any other of those bums. Aside from being a Brown, he has been one of my favorite players in the league. His subpar performance as of the last 2 years sucks but hey...better than the way our #2 corner is playing right now...whomever that may be today.

Trade Jesse to the Browns for Haden

Damn, that would be awesome to add Haden while having the Browns pay a fairly large chunk of his salary. Talk about killing two birds with one stone. For Haden, talk about a reverse in fortune, going from the Brownshits to the 'Burgh. We got burned once with Gilbert, but that wouldn't keep me from pulling the trigger on Haden. Colbert adding another feather to his cap? Make it happen!
