A very good football team was under estimated all year long. They had ups and downs. They lost. People wrote them off and claimed their stars had lost a step.
But then they got healthy. Started to get hot at the right time. Playmakers not only returned to the lineup, but they made plays.
And still, the pundits said it didn't matter. They were facing an unbeatable opponent. A juggernaut that couldn't lose.
Story sound familiar? Clemson is the Steelers. Underestimated ALL YEAR LONG, and told they couldn't beat that one team.
Championship Game Notes:
Watson earned himself the NFL's booby prize - a first overall pick to Cleveland. So much for his career.
Ben Boulware would be a worthy replacement for Timmons. Not considered a 1st round talent, he made plays all over the field. We could catch him in round 2 or even 3 if teams sleep on him.
Jalen Hurts can't be blamed for this loss, but it will happen. When it was his turn to step up and make a play to win, he did. But he never touched the ball after he scored.
Alabama's D, while stout all game, folded in the end. Mental errors, panic, and plain old fashioned fatigue got them in the end.
Miami Notes:
Ben wanted in. Rogers stayed in late too. All the Tomlin hate is silly, we won the damn game.
KC can't play from behind. We get up on them and it's a wrap. They're built to run the ball and rush the passer.
Joey may never coach again, huge black eye for the franchise. IF, that is IF, he's guilty. This whole case could be BS. But if it's not, he's gotta go.
We are healthy, we've got the book on KC, and their home field advantage amounts to some noise. We can handle noise.
Everyone thinks NE will beat us. Literally, everyone. But you know what? They said the same thing about Clemson.
GO STEELERS!
