Game Notes

Yes, pittbull, the face mask on Brown may have been worse than the one on Coates.
Also we had a face mask that kept the Bungles first drive alive.
A big pass int on their first TD drive.
Then we had a td called back on a hold.

Browns TD was called back for a chop block by Bell

I actually think this is Marvin Lewis's last season as coach of the Bengals. If it isn't, good for the Steelers for more years to come.

lewis deserves to have his contract extended for at least another decade....he is awesome

Yes that was it, potato peeler, a chop block, thanks.

There were Cincy sport writers on different sports shows all week in Pittsburgh, and most of them think he gets to stay as long as he wants

I agree with this. Mike Brown would probably have to pay a new coach more money so Marvin will be there as long as he works for cheap.

Worse, the TD was called back when Bell was charged with a chop block. From the replay, it didn't look look like he went low enough to call it a chop.

My god that chop block call had me INFURIATED.. I was in a bar watching the game with a date and making a scene.

That was trash, he wasn't engaged with foster, and Bell didn't go at his knees.

I think the officials were told that the ratbirds were winning so they could stop calling it (or not calling it) all against the Steelers. The NFL powers want the Christmas day showdown for ratings

I'll be honest, I thought the same thing.

My only complaint is that Tomlin didn't call a timeout with one second left to allow Boz to go in and kick the record breaker, while also sticking it in the Bengals' ***.

The three huge penalties in the first half were disturbing. The facemask on Tuitt that gave the Bengals a first down on the first series, the PI on Artie which handed Cincinnati a first-and-goal, and the chop block on Bell which negated Brown's touchdown were all unnecessary and costly.

I give Tomlin credit for whatever he said at halftime, after lamenting those penalties in his interview on the way to the locker room. "We gotta play cleaner," he said. He misspoke about having a turnover on the deep pass interference play, though, because Mitchell dropped the potential INT.

Once they got things cleaned up, it was impressive in the second half -- The Steelers outscored them 15-0, only allowed 38 total yards, and scored points on all of their drives (except the last one, where they got the ball on their own 16 and ended up on the Bengals' 9 after taking nearly 6 minutes off the clock to end the game). Amazing job, considering how shorthanded the defensive line is right now.

While I'm happy to have green as this big target for ben. Today he looks like he hurt his head again..

IDK maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like hes playing it for a pay day of some type.

The one non-call that infuriated me was the lack of a PI on the deep pass to Coates with about 1:15 remaining, and Steelers with 2 TO left.

Steelers would have had a 1st down very deep in Bungles territory with their two timeouts and plenty of time on the clock. They score a TD if the refs make the blatantly obvious PI call.

How obvious was it? Dan "ref's semen container" Fouts said the refs blew it (see what I did there??).

It was a hard, helmet to helmet hit as a defenseless receiver. He hasn't seemed to suffer of alligator arms during his short season

I wonder if Ayers beat up Rogers at half time and took his uniform.......
I thought this was somewhat funny.
Do I need professional help?

Tomlin wouldn't do that to Marvin Lewis and why should he, the game was won. Now if given that same opportunity Christmas Day against a certain Harbage led team?
Wouldn't surprise me if he did!

The Ravens game looks like it will be another street fight just like the Bengals game was.

Birth defect was his usual self in the game. He had at least 6 dirty hits and that number may have been over 10. He tried to take AB out on one of his first catches in the game but missed. AB was being tackled and already stopped and he went at him helmet first. Somehow he missed and we are lucky he did miss or AB would have missed the rest of the game and at least one or two more. Dude seriously needs to be thrown out of the league.

Hold up, you brought a date to watch the Steelers game with you?

I did not realize stopping mid stride and letting the DB run into you was pass interference.
