Game Notes

this was the Bungals Super Bowl. As good as Buttfuck is, he is their Kryptonite. We had a hard time keeping our heads in the game, at times, but damn, the Bungals just got to do **** after every play. They played a very good first half and had the B&G on it's heels, but got stupid. Again. Marvin Lewis really needs to be let go and they need to re-examine their identity. The Ravens play on the brink, but are not really dirty. They play tough, is always a battle with them, but it's not a street fight like the Bungals try to turn the game into.
 
I think the officials were told that the ratbirds were winning so they could stop calling it (or not calling it) all against the Steelers. The NFL powers want the Christmas day showdown for ratings

Eagles gave them that win. Period. Pulled a stupid as shades move for going for two
 
The D and the adjustments made by the coaches on D were huge. Losing 2 more D linemen and being run all over in the 1st half, they made major adjustments to shut the Bungholes down in the 2nd half. Timmons is playing like an all-pro again as is James Harrison. And, our rookies are not rookies any more. Look out in years to come with our D.
 
3 points after the terrible towel incident, but they did **** the bed indeed. It's clear people will never learn. All through 2nd 1/2 when bengals were killing themselves I couldn't help but think-how is Marvin Lewis still employed?

I told the Bungle fan behind that they just lost the game when I saw that. This was the ******* yelling for Burfdefect to take out Bells knee while sitting next to his two young children early in the game. You would have thought the refs gave the Steelers the game the way those special snowflake fans were crying and bitching.

D allowed under 300 total yards yet again. They are getting stronger down the stretch.

Did anyone else notice that Silverback was our DE after we lost Tuitt and Mathews? He's amazing!!!

Steelers were splitting Green wide as the #2 WR option outside running the outlaw out of the TE set. This was working well for us. Hopefully, his concussion was due to this game, and not an underlying factor from his PUP...

Coates was getting a lot of targets today, and he did look better. He has to fight harder. Playoffs are around the corner, and the Ravens' aren't going to give us any free plays next week.

D was stiff as nails in the 2nd half surrendering zero points!!!!

Ben started slow, but the second half a few guys stepped up and made a some key plays
I take full credit for Eli's performance in the second half...he didn't do **** until I pointed out Ayers had more yards receiving than him and Ayers wasn't even active....your welcome
Defense blew chunks in the first half...but they manned up and came to play in the second...solid day
Bos was ******* awesome....great game kid

most importantly...the bungles should know not the **** with the Terrible Towel....0 points after disrespecting the towel...the curse lives.

James Harrison led the team in tackles with 9 and 4 of them solo. Says a lot.
 
This win showed a lot of character. Down early. Down big. Could only muster field goals. Big penalties....but they overcame. The Steelers must love making games nerve-racking, aggravating, and at times, infuriating.

I liked how Dan Fouts berated the ref for not calling the facemask in the endzone...but I wonder if he felt compelled to say something because it seemed to me that that was the second facemask in the endzone. Did anyone else see Brown have his grabbed on a previous incomplete in the endzone?

Why is Toussaint returning kicks? Is he really the best option?

Agreed. Who thought they would shut out the Bengles offense in the 2nd half....
 
Yes, pittbull, the face mask on Brown may have been worse than the one on Coates.
Also we had a face mask that kept the Bungles first drive alive.
A big pass int on their first TD drive.
Then we had a td called back on a hold.

yeah I agree with that couldn't stop them in the 1st half lose 2 dlineman and shut them out in 2nd half. pretty awesome

I thought it was strange that he completely missed the first one - when it was clear as day - but then weighed in on the second one.

At least he'll honestly point out a bad call.

Simms, on the other hand, will never say anything stronger than, "Tough call, Jee-umm."

"Tough" is his way of saying "bad."

CBS needs to let Phee-ul go and move Fouts into the No. 1 job.
