We could have lost the greatest receiver ever....

he is faster than his forty times indicate....yes he is only 5'9" but is quick and elusive with the ball in his hands....
Julian Edelman and the jagoff Steve Smith are little guys that put up numbers and always get good YAC.

how can they not give a future HOF WR a helmet his first Sunday on the 53 man roster???

Ok boys. A very simple truth in life is this. No one is actually faster than their forty times. That defines your speed. Some guys are more agile and shifty then others I give you that. But frankly I'm pretty happy with Eli Rogers for that. I watched his tape he looked shifty and elusive. But two major points on the tape.
1. He made the first man miss on several plays. But the play ended before the second guy got him four yards down field.
2. The first guy who missed him is not on the field in the NFL. He works at Costco now.
I ain't hatin on Ayers. I hope he is ****** great. I just looked at the helmets he played against, his short stature and his pedestrian 40 time and I'm pretty skeptical.

Ayers was had a hand injury that effected his 40 times at the combine and his Pro day.....some players are fast in shorts but lose a lot in pads....Ayers made a lot of Florida state players miss also...

great to see Grimble have such a big day since he got a helmet instead of Ayers...

The way our roster is right now can be confusing, we run a bunch of multiple TE sets and Green is a question mark for getting through games so we keep 4 active with Grimble as a safety net. However, we dress 5 DL and today that was exposed when we got down to Shade Tree, Hargraves and Walton. We also dress only 2 RBs with Nix presumably the emergency 3rd. We need D Will healthy if we are going to go with 2 RBs as Touissant is useless back there on kick returns and offers little toting the rock as well.

Would have to think Ayers should replace Touissant on KR and backup AB on PR and be the 5th WR. With Green likely out next week we should go down to 3 active TEs. Depending on the health of D Will and the DL you'd have to think send Richardson down and bring up another body on the DL unless Tuitt and Mathews are both full go. Then it becomes a numbers game health wise but Ayers should get a hat next week because we have to be prepared to go no huddle and several 3-4 wide sets to spread out the Rats. If the strategy leans that way Ayers may actually see the field. We could definitely use a spark as they have had our number lately.

This was the week he should have been in though. C'mon we saw Bullock struggle to get it to the end zone on kick offs for us, he should have been back there over Touissant who shows absolutely zero as a return threat. Would have also go his feet wet and allowed for some confidence building before facing the rats.

DHB, Shark, Green, Mettenberger, Mihalik, Uncle Jarvis and one of (Tuitt, Mathews if not ready or 3rd RB if both DEs healthy) should be the guys without hats.

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!

How tall was Troy Edwards? He ran a 4.6 and we drafted him in the first round.
