Report: Salary cap expected to rise to $166M-170M for 2017 season

The NFL's salary cap is expected to rise to $166 million-$170 million for the 2017 season, USA TODAY's Tom Pelissero reports.
Teams were informed of the expected rise Tuesday. The current salary cap stands at $155.27 million.
An exact figure will not be determined until the new league year commences in March. The NFL is expected to announce a projected cap number later this week.
