How things can change in 6 weeks..

We control our own destiny, but currently there is nobody in the driver's seat...hopefully we keep winning and the rematch with the rats is the battle to see which kid gets to escape the back seat and ride shotgun into the playoffs. Right now neither we or the rats are close to the driver's seat, just a couple kids in the backseat hoping to get into the playoffs...the driver's seat is where we would be if we won earlier games we should've and were tracking down a 1 or 2 seed.

We face the problem that we can't seem to beat the pos rats as we continue to give them way too much respect playing these close to the vest conservative game plans vs them designed to create 1 score games, we need to hand them a good ole fashion whoopin in our house.
They face the problem of having to play the Pats, Dolphins, Steelers, Bengals (and Eagles?).

That leaves both these teams in the backseat just hoping to ride shotgun into the playoffs, but right now we're just a couple kids annoying the hell out of each other in the back seat.
 
Folks are talking like the games against the Browns and the Bengals are givens. Have we forgotten what team we're talking about? We're just as likely to beat the Bills and Giants,then lose to a subpar Bengals or Browns team

Tie breaker drops from head to head to division, then to conference record. We have a worse conference record. We need some help and we need to keep winning. There will be no wild card out of the AFCN this year unless the teams in the AFCW go cold and we basically win out.

Whomever wins out wins the devision but we are a 1/2 game behind RIGHT NOW, so the gayvens are currently in the drivers seat. When we win and they lose this weekend, then we will be in the driver's seat.

I think you folks are arguing Semantics for "driver's seat" and "win out and get in"
 
I don't have much confidence in us winning out, and the fact that we have to beat Baltimore, who has made us their ******* as of late doesn't help

2012-2014 were splits during the regular season. in 2015 the ravens won both games by 3 points each, one of those was Vick at QB. This year, they won the first game, at home, by 7 the week Ben comes back from a knee injury.

Doesn't, really, qualify as "making someone your *****".
 
Didn't they beat us hear in the 2014 playoffs? They've won 4 in a row against us.
 
We don't deserve to be in playoffs unless we beat them on Xmas and otherwise they have the tougher schedule, so
we are clearly in the advantaged position at this point.
 
I can't see us getting in the playoffs without winning out. We dug the hole once more and no wildcard is in the picture.

If we go 4-1 and beat Baltimore I think we'll win the division.
 
If we beat Baltimore, I see Baltimore losing at NE for sure so that would give them two losses over the final 5

ahh, gotcha. Assumed you meant them going 4-1, too.
