NO one could have stopped that TD throw....
Polamalu with a 50' head would've gotten his helmet on it for the deflection, anyone else...no way
NO one could have stopped that TD throw....
I read here all the time, and I don't know why there is so much hate for Coach. Did the man not say "not an easy throw to defend"? I've been around since the beginning of this board and have watched the hate drive so many away. This board use to be one of the best for Steeler fans to cuss, argue, disagree, love another, etc. Speachless & SMH!
"Sigh".....that was Burns coverage on that play. Davis was the backend help. Artie hesitated to the flat and lost coverage.
You should read about coverage schemes.Maybe pick up Pat Kiran's book. You might learn something....or rather maybe a lot.
You are correct on the throw. QB threw it on a dime. Great ball placement.

.not really m uc h to celebrate. The colts looked terrible. Without Luck they got nothing,

i pick on no one...Because I hate all the ******* on this site!
The interior of this secondary is suspect. Teams know how to exploit that.....but this has been this way for some time. Timmons doesn't have the foot speed to keep up with a WR....that's gonna be a "go to" for offenses.
We have to draft either a hybrid LB-Safety or a LB that's a clone of Shazier. I can say that the future is bright with Tuitt, Hargreaves, Shazier and Burns/Davis
I don't hate coach. I don't like it when guys make up their mind about a draft pick and then create a narrative to go along with it. Then when the play does not match the narrative they minimize it. Just say the kid played a great game and hope he plays like that consistently. Like I've always said, I don't want to hate on Jarvis Jones. And if he would have panned out I'd have loved to have been wrong about him. Love of wanting to be right seems to superced hope for this team. Hell I'd love to be wrong about Tomlin. I just don't think I am.

That's the great thing about this board though is how knowledgeable and passionate the fan base on here is. Sure we hate on a player from time to time and go in meltdown mode. We all just want to see the team maintain respectability.
I am curious: What are your qualifications for being omnipotent on all subjects football? Because you read a book? You ridicule Coach for "looking at film" but I am pretty sure that trumps reading a book.
I can't watch a game not on DVR except maybe the final-4 weekend and the lowB repuS.
This is, literally, the most uninspiring Steelers team I can remember since maybe the late 1980's. It's not about talent. It's just the whole attitude of the NFL and the team and ownership and everything. It all feels blah. Like I've seen it all before and it all seems very fake. The "stories", the "inspiration", the "excitement"....
Maybe I'm being cynical. That is certainly a hypothesis with merit. But I don't think I feel alone on this. I really don't. I don't see the "inspired" newbee and 20-somethings like I used to. I don't see much "new" on the internet anymore. It all feels corporate and processed and regurgitated.
Here's my drunk assessment of the Steelers (and I'm not quite through a full six-pack so I'm not officially "drunk" yet):
The NFL has jumped the shark.
There, I said it. I know, deep down, it's true. Not sure everyone else has seen the light yet, but I'm sure you will.
I can't pin it down to one thing. Hell, I probably couldn't pin it down to 10 things. But something is off. And it's getting worse, not better.

One last thing...The NFL morning show with Nate Burleson and the petite brunette girl. The girl...she's pretty, she's smart, she's likable, but the fake energy she displays is indicative of the manufactured excitement that has become the NFL.
. AB and Bell share a high five deal after a great TD (and I don't absolve AB. That is like his fourth and this one costed 7 in the end because it was the field position of the 15 yard penalty and subsequent kick return that allowed the 4th down fake). However, after the completion on the fake the punter strutted around the field like a retarded rooster, but hey that's OK.
