Tomlin sucks thread 11/6/16

WRs, and I'm serious. I can't stand Tomlin and want him gone, but he (if I'm gonna blame him, also have to give credit when do) done a great job of finding good receivers.

Brown over Ward and Holmes? No way in hell.

I'm not saying he hasn't done a great job at getting WR's, but Wallace isn't here, Bryant isn't helping, Sanders is gone.

I'd take Ward over Brown straight up, but yeah I meant Ward and Holmes over what we have now, and I don't count Bryant, until he plays for us again.

I'd have to think about this one for a bit. Ward played when it was OK to be a tough SOB. Not sure how he would adjust to today's ***** finess type play. Brown isn't tough enough for the tough SOB play of Hines' time. I realize the toughness isn't the question but thought I'd point that aspect out.

Salute the nation

Oh okay, I see

I'd take Brown and Bryant over them, though.

brown and bryant have never done a thing when it counts. you know hines will shine in the biggest of games. no way at this point could you take any of these guys over those guy who proved their worth

I disagree. They haven't been given the opportunity that Ward and Holmes had. Brown saved our season with his helmet catch as a rookie.

they haven't had the opportunity because they haven't earned it. brown has been here a long time now and had plenty of opportunities

Hines had 64 yards vs NE in 2001..

Brown had 7 receptions for 119 yards including a 60 yarder vs Cincinnati last season. In 2014 vs Baltimore he had 9 receptions for 117 yards. In 2011 he had 70 yards on 5 receptions and an 18 yard rush vs Denver. Not sure what else you want him to do. On top of that he has the most receptions in a three year span in NFL history, 1500+ yards each season and broke the Steelers all time receiving record. I'm pretty sure AB has shown his worth.

Bell would have a lot more big runs with Ward in this team. None of the current WRs can block at all. The general rule is that the OL gets the first 3 yards, the RB gets yards 4 to 10 by making somebody miss, and the big runs come from a downfield block by the WR. You can't account for most of the DBs in the blocking scheme.

Imagine these bubble screens with AB if Ward was out there throwing a block.

One of the problems on this team is nobody goes beyond the minimum of their responsibility. Coaches need to start demanding more. AB is small so he will never be like Ward but he can get in the way. Coats is big and he was asked to block at Auburn. He should be a great blocker as a WR.

If the first round picks on our offensive line could open a ******* hole Bell could rush. It has nothing to do with the WRs.

He's coached 64 more games then Tomlin. Tomlin has two SB appearances.

You made the original flat total wins statement. Marvin Lewis isn't a good head coach, yet he's managed to win 115 games in the NFL. That's the point.

Yes, we're all constantly reminded by guys like you about Mikey's wonderful winning percentage, aren't we? Problem is, your fearless leader's mark of .627 has already dropped .17 over the last 4 games. And, I have a feeling it will continue to make its way toward Marvin's career .537 number, especially if Tomlin sticks around long enough after Ben retires.

Those two Super Bowl appearances were a long time ago. How are Tomlin's playoff results looking for the last five years?

I never get fans that are happy with mediocre. Those usually are ones that are afraid of getting a worse coach, so let us keep the mediocre coach even if it means not sniffing another SB in his tenure.

Write this down and quote me on it, Steelers will not win another SB under Tomlin.

This is what I don't get how do you equate happy with it. My family wants me to move out because I'm so miserable with this 4 game losing streak. Just because we realize he isnt Rich Kotite doesn't make us happy. The goal is lowB repuS or bust every season. Anything less is a disappointment. That doesn't mean we can't recognize he is better then most while not being perfect. Every loss is painful. And no one is happy

If we lose to the Browns!

If we lose this week then I'm done watching Tomlin ruin our team. He should also resign even if we do win. Bringing Haley in from KC where his record was the worst untill he left is a perfect example of what he's done. Our "D" blows goats too. So we suck on both sides of the ball.

The only way Tomlin might be let go is if we lose out and the Rooney's feel he lost the team. I doubt that will happen. But, this season may set Tomlin up to potentially be gone in a couple years.

I don't think they'll fire him under any circumstances, we had a pretty good record last year despite injuries, but like I said elsewhere I would absolutely not give him a contract extension and make him play for his next one to light a fire under his ***. I don't know when his contract expires but hell, I'd tell him tomorrow that we're not extending you.

Dear Lord the whiny ***** group is out in full force...now we get to see them bitching about **** that hasn't happened....
