Tomlin sucks thread 11/6/16

SMH, we were statistically one of the worst defenses in the league even when we were 4-1. When you are giving away TOP by 10+ minutes your offense doesn't get on the field. That is the problem with the bend but don't break defense, your offense never gets a chance to get into a quick rhythm the same as a defensive 3 and out gives you. It's not rocket science. Who cares about the red zone when your defense is on the field for 38-40 minutes of a game. Eventually your defense gets beat down.

And we were blitz happy last year and we sucked. One way or the other. Blitzing is not some magic elixir. Tackling better yes. That we need to do Alot better. That will help Alot better then blitzing at this point. Again I don't care how they skin the cat. All I said was I understood the sentiment of not putting too much on the young guys.

SMH I'm not arguing whether it was or not anymore cause the tape will come out later this week. It doesn't matter anyway because the responsibilities for the free safety in both is deep middle

lol yeah, probably best that you tap out now :)

Tap for what?? All we doing is going back and forth over something that can't be proven until later this week. Like is said whether it's cover three or one Mitchell responsibility is deep middle. No sense arguing which cause we don't know..I'm sure we will find out late when someone gets the all 22 film.

There is your video with "proof" Mitchell is the only player in zone coverage, every other DB and S is man up. But I bet you need special film.

SMH what does Mitchell have to do with burns being one on one. That was the whole point of this discussion that burns had one on one coverage. So if Mitchell is in zone in the deep middle whether they are in cover three or one burns has one on coverage right??

Are you a special kind of dense? I never once said Burns was not one on one. I said that Burns was not on an island. He has help over the top from Mitchell. Your own article that you posted says the same damn thing. Being one on on and being on an island are not the same thing.

Just press man-to-man,” said Wallace

Mike Wallace seems to think so but what the **** does he know

Man-To-Man Coverage

Man-to-man coverage is arguably the most difficult technique to do successfully on the football field, and corners play man-to-man more than anyone else. It's often said that the cornerbacks are "on an island" with their receiver, because wherever the widest receiver lines up is where the corner usually lines up. The wide receiver always has the advantage, because he gets to make the first move, and he knows where the ball is headed. Man-to-man is easy to understand, but hard to do well; find your man, cover your man, don't let him catch the ball.

hmmmmm, "sloppy practices", eh, Leveon?? I wonnnderrr who's in charge of the standard to which the team trains...hmmmmmmm........whoooo could that beeeee........:confused1:

and it's telling that this is coming from one of our premier players coming out and saying it, not some "unnamed source" that turns out to be some 3rd string yeyhoo.

For the 20th time, NOBODY is arguing that he was one on one with Wallace. YOU stated that he was on an island with Wallace. Being on an island infers he has NO HELP OVER THE TOP. Mitchell was over the top to provide support. Do I need to post it in a sign language video for you? You have more flip flops than a house of pancakes.

I was waiting for someone to post this. So of course now it's OK to believe the player lol. Harrison says the exact opposite it's met with he's Tomlin buddy. Funny how that works

I stated or the post contained a video where the guy talking about the game used that term??
Or does it mean he has one on one coverage because both instances I found simply says one on one. The only adding NO SAFETY HELP is you

YOU stated that when we blitzed we left Burns ON AN ISLAND with Wallace with Cover 3 behind him. You have been proven wrong 6 ways to Sunday.

yeah, I'm sure you WERE waiting for someone to post this, holding your breath hoping no one noticed. when someone says something that MIGHT be true, and we can OBSERVE (<---key word, please pay attention here) the end result/product as mainly consisting of slop, is it that hard to put 1 and 1 together?? I suppose if you have your head buried up to your armpits in the sand, it is.
